Poppydaze would have listened, if she hadn't been so distracted. Should she have really made Hawkgaze stay? Would he be upset at her? Poppydaze shook her head to clear it. Setting the comfrey down, she faced Redpaw. "Thanks for coming with me, I can take it from here," she mumbled.

Hawkgaze was still not asleep. He was just stairing into the black abis that comes with being blind.

RedPaw set the herbs down and dipped her head. "im probably going to stay up for awhile longer. please get some rest" she said before padding over to the apprentices den and disappeared into it. Quietly, she snuck into her secret passage and out into the forest. There she padded into the clearing that opened out in front of the tunnel entrance. She sat and watched the stars. "oh father........if only you were here...."she said before lying down, still watching the stars.

Poppydaze nodded and took the herbs in her jaws. Entering the den, Poppydaze assumed he was asleep, so she sorted the herbs once more. While she was sorting the herbs, she began to think about Rabbitpaw's omen. Cats in pain. Writhing in pain, in fact. A new epidemic possibly. Her fur rose. I've not had a sign about this yet. This 'epidemic' will come and I won't be able to stop it will I? Why won't the ancestors tell us what it is? Poppydaze slowly grew angrier and angrier thinking about her ancestors and this bad omen. RedPaw felt tears flow down her face at the though of her father, SwiftBreeze. He had died of whitecough when she was 2 moons old, and she wished he could've been with her at the moment. He had always know how to calm her when she was scared. RedPaw whispered to the stars "father......what should I do?.....everything is happening so fast.....I feel as if the entire clan depends on me.....as if, the life of every cat was in my paws........why?.........please.....give me a sign". Suddenly there was a strong wind that blew past RedPaw, and with it ethereal whispering of voices.

RedPaw suddenly felt extremely tired and lied down. Soon she fell asleep with the ethereal breeze blowing around her.

A stary cat appeared next to Poppydaze. "hello poppydaze" said SwiftBreeze, his pelt sparkling.

SwiftBreeze blinked slowly. "you are lost with the omen. It scares you" he said standing up. "fallow me" he said looking back.

Hawkgaze got up. He totally forgot about the bad omen! For some reason he didn't really care. Most of the cats here deserved it.
