Doodle and Diesel’s Happy Home [open]

[Diesel and Doodle are super close siblings. They are 8 months old and are purebred Siamese. And they are wild, insecure children.]

Diesel flew into the kitchen. He skidded to a stop. He. Heard. FOOD! He ran towards his bowl. Doodle had her face in her bowl already, and she rolled her eyes as Diesel shoved his into his dry food. She finished up the last bite and pounced on Diesel’s tail. “Stop!” he said. Normally he was all for playing, but when he had food, he did NOT want to be bothered. He chomped down the plain tasting food, finishing it quickly and chasing after Doodle. Doodle took off, happy that Diesel was playing. But then she heard her favorite sound EVER: the door opening. She forgot entirely about Diesel and sprinted towards the back door. Diesel was right behind her. It was his second favorite sound; his first favorite was food pouring into his bowl. He went out the door and tumbled into the grass. Doodle didn’t fall like her uncoordinated brother, she took in the smells and sights and laughed at Diesel. “Clumsy,” she mewed.

The plump and fluffy she-cat sat on her fence, grooming herself, she then heard the sound of play, wondering what was going on, she leaped from her garden fence and landed ungracefully on her neighbors’,
“Hello!” She meowed, “I’m Dixie, who are you two?”

Doodle climbed off Diesel. “I’m Doodle!” she mewed. Diesel jumped up, not quite as gracefully as his sister, and said, “I’m Diesel!” He stared at the new cat, his blue eyes curious. Doodle did the same thing. “Who are you?” she asked, bringing down a paw on Diesel’s head. Leave it to him to show off his clumsiness to all the neighbors. As if to prove her point, he dodged her paw and one foot got tangled around the other. And then he was on the grassy ground again. He had to dodge another paw when Doodle did it again. Doodle didn’t know why Diesel had to be so clumsy. The second time she tried to hit him with a paw, it was really just to see how he’d react and if he’d fall again, because Diesel was just hilariously clumsy. And Doodle was too graceful for a cat. @Willowfern

“So your name’s A Neighbor?” Diesel asked. “What were your housefolk thinking?” He shook the grass out of his cream fur. Doodle rolled her eyes again. “No, idiot. She’s just one of our neighbors.” She whacked him with a paw playfully. Diesel narrowed his eyes at her, not having dodged quick enough. “I think we’re purebreds...” Doodle said. She knew their mother was a Siamese, which is what she and her brother were sometimes called, but the two didn’t know their father. @Willowfern

“Nice to meet you, Dixie,” Doodle replied. She shot Diesel a glance that said be polite and not weird. Diesel got the message loud and clear. “Uhh... yeah, it’s nice to meet you,” he stammered. He didn’t know what to say! Doodle wasn’t excited and proud of him, but it would work. Doodle returned the smile Dixie was giving. “You’ll have to excuse my brother, he’s not the smartest cat on the block,” she mewed while dodging Diesel’s swipe. @Willowfern

“Then I’m certain he and I will get along fine,” Dixie giggled, “So, have you two been living here long? I haven’t seen you before.,” she said as she attempted to get off of the fence in a proper manner.

Diesel would’ve stuck out his tongue at Doodle if he wasn’t a cat. Instead, he gave her a smug grin. Doodle hit him with a paw again. “Nope, we just came here. Our siblings went to other homes,” she mewed. Diesel just grumbled something about showy sisters. Doodle and Diesel had two other sisters and a brother that went away to other places. The two didn’t know their new names. If they got new names. “How long have you lived here?” Diesel asked, attempting to get in the conversation as something other than the dumb one. @Willowfern
