Windygale purred to himself. It was nice to finally have a moment to lay and bask in the warm sun after an eternity of frosty chill. But it seemed he wasn't alone; a small, barely audible gasp caught his ear. He couldn't tell if the cat was farther away and it was a loud gasp or if the cat was very near and it was a tiny gasp, but he was leaning toward the latter. It turns out the tom was correct; after minimal investigation, Windygale spotted a stark white feline creeping toward a scarlet flower. The cat's movements were quick and quiet, as if they didn't want anyone to see them. This thought crossed the deputy's mind too late; he had already slid out of the brush with an awkward smile and a small "Hello."

Snowflower let out a squeak as he heard a voice call out. He swung his head around and locked eyes with the deputy, his snowy colored fur fluffed up, lapis eyes wide. "I-I'm sorry is th-this your flower? You ca-can have it I'm so-sorry." he whimpered, big eyes glossing over, almost on the verge of tears. He hadn't been so scared in his life, he couldn't see the deputy's face, in fact, he didn't even recognize who it was.

The first thing Windygale noticed about the cat was that he or she - he thought it was a she - didn’t talk. She gestured a lot, but never spoke. ”You don’t need to bow, it’s fine,” he nodded. “But I appreciate it.” After a series of gestures, he half-understood what the cat was trying to tell him. “You... uh, you’re hunting? Or, no. Wait. You... want to help ME hunt?” he guessed, feeling a bit flustered. He hated that he didn’t know the warrior’s name. The Clan had so many members now, it was hard to know everyone. He awaited the she-cat’s response, just to make sure he wasn’t assuming anything. He offered a friendly smile,his fluffy tail flicking back and forth.

The she-cat gave a gentle nod, understanding his difficulty to translate her gestures. Her expression changed a to more of a timid tone when she noticed him becoming so flustered by her request. Ugh, how do I get across 'Unless you don't want to.' It's not like he can read my thoughts. She let out a quiet sigh of annoyance trying to think through her actions.
After a moments pause, she turned tail and looked back to him. She tilted her head a few times repeatedly from him to in front of her, before beginning to trot away. There, hopefully, that will get the sign across. If he doesn't want to come, he just doesn't need to follow. At this point in her life, she was rather used to all the strange, confused looks she would get when she tried to communicate, and more often than not, it was only the quick-minded that would be able to translate her 'words'. Being left out or simply ignored was a common occurrence in her would, so if he didn't follow, why would she care? The 'why should I care' mindset was one she adopted to get through most situations. That small phrase always seemed to keep her going through lonely situations, despite its conceited appearance.

Elmleaf sniffed the border as he was patrolling he stopped as he heard a leaf crunch and raised an eyebrow sniffing and recognized a cat he didn’t know. He dropped into a prowl stance and stalked forward in the shrubs spying on the cat he saw before him and twitched his eye slightly as he saw a she-cat loner and stepped out of the bush clearing her throat,” Excuse me your trespassing. I’m going to give you a warning unless you want a fight over this.” He meowed respectfully but with a stern voice.

Elmleaf narrowed his eyes slightly,"We keep to our borders for prey, is it to hard to hunt outside the borders? I don't believe that all the prey is hiding on my side of the border!" He snorted annoyed.

She shrugged. "All the good prey anyways. All the ones outside are so skittish because of the twolegs."

His eye twitched,"Listen.You've been spotted trespassing so you won't be getting any prey off Shadowclan's land, so I strongly suggest leaving. I'm being nice because you seem feeble and I don't fettish injuring confused loners."
