Owlwatcher was half expecting his apprentice to lash out but he was still surprised. "Well I'm your mentor and I care about your being. You don't have to open up to me but you should confide in a friend about whatever is going on." Marking the border mindlessly before turning to head back to the camp since Pinepaw seemed eager to return.

Pinepaw dragged her legs along. She stared at the sky for a bit, think about stuff. Why should she open up. Everyone was a traitor who hadn't had their opportunity to betray her. She never wanted to feel like she did back then. Breezekit had left her behind, threatening her and died right before her eyes. She waited for her mentor to finish and headed back to camp.

Mousepuff fought the urge to eat again. He was satisfied in hunger but that natural call to eat when one was bored was getting to him. Really getting too him. Perhaps he outta stop eating so much, he’d gained quite the chub around his stomach and neck. Not that he was overeating or anything, rather his body weight fluctuated at the drop of a dime. Though he wasn’t aware of it, he could starve himself and just be as full and round, or he could over eat and be lean and fit. His chemical balance was so off because of it.

While he say there staring into space the voice of someone familiar popped into his head. The creamy grey tom snapped out of his trance in an instant. “Duskstar!” glad to have something else to be thinking about as opposed to eating he popped up onto his legs, Of course with a grunt of effort for effect.

“Our victorious leader returns unscathed” He said quietly approaching the leader with a kind dip of his head. He’d almost forgot the den cleaning. He and Buckbranch hadn’t really finished the job but it was swept out with a new nest and organized flower bundle he might have accidentally left there unattended. “How was it? Did you see anything new? Anything scary?”

She gave a nod of her head in greeting. "Why don't we sit down and rest before I tell you? My paws are quite annoyed with me right now," Duskstar mewed, chuckling quietly to herself. Moving to the edge of camp, she settled down into a comfortable position, tapping her tail beside her to signal for Mousepuff to sit.

"I didn't see anything too out of the ordinary-- I only went a little ways past our territory, after all. Surprisingly, I didn't have a run-in with any rogues. I can't say I'm not thankful, though." Duskstar hummed quietly, thinking back to her travels. She wouldn't speak of the personal things she had thought over and discovered whilst out-and-about, of course, but she didn't mind speaking about what she saw.

"Oh! I saw a nice little area where we could possibly stretch our borders, though a patrol would need to be sent to check the place out before any borders are set. I'll be looking into it more soon," she explained, then looked toward Mousepuff with a quirked brow, "So, how has the Clan been faring without me? I hope nothing troublesome happened." If it did, well, she wouldn't forgive herself for leaving the Clan unattended.
