"What?" Sprucepaw wondered aloud, narrowing her eyes as her muscles tensed. She looked through the clearing, watching enemies fight against enemies, but were they really so? They were more like... clanmates against clanmates. Her heart clamored against her chest, as she noticed that many of them were once companions or close friends, but torn apart by their beliefs to StarClan. Well then, so be it! She concluded.

Turning her green gaze back over towards her fellow apprentice-mate, she responded. "Well, maybe I don't find it strange!" Sprucepaw said, having the feeling of raging anger rise through her. She was beginning to lose control of the situation. Her claws dug into the soil-filled ground to control herself, but all seemed lost. Was Sorrelpaw allied with SkyClan? Her heart beat nervously.

"Sometimes I want to believe in them, trust me, but they never really cared!" Her claws dug deeper. She didn't want to fight, but her muscles ached for the moment of jumping into another feline's back and tearing their fur. She didn't want to become a monster, like she had been during the ThunderClan fire, but already there was chaos turmoiling her mind.

Slowly, Sorrelpaw could feel her Clanmate slipping away from her, and into the numbered ranks of Ratnight and Fennelstrike's army. Her eyes stretched wide as she stared at Sprucepaw, every fiber in her body screaming at her to just run. I don't want to fight my own denmate! Sorrelpaw thought, bewildered by the sudden change in the atmosphere around her. "StarClan is all we have as a Clan sometimes!" she wailed, shaking her head and backing up from Sprucepaw.

On the edge of her spine, her fur started rising one by one as realization sunk in; she would have to fight Sprucepaw. As soon as the mottled she-cat knew there was no other way to escape this confrontation rather than through claws and teeth, she crouched down into a defensive stance. Ears falling back against her head, she bared her teeth at her former friend. "Well, if you stand with Ratnight, then... then...." she paused, taking a deep breath before continuing: "..then you stand against me!" With that, she launched herself forward, claws outstretched and aiming for Sprucepaw's shoulders, where she would latch on and use her hind legs to cause serious damage to the other apprentices' chest.

With a breath, Lionpaw bolted from nowhere and tackled down a cat that was aimed for Honeypaw.
"Honeypaw..." he breathed, his left eye bleeding (kovu look complete!). "Go, get out of here! I need you to find my family, Oakpaw and Palepaw... They're all that's left. Do me a favor, and find them, protect them. Blackpaw, Foxpaw, Splashpaw, and Goldenpaw, go with her. You guys I know can keep her and our kits safe..." he said, and turned to Honeypaw. "I swear on StarClan I will come back for you, now go!"

Darkfang pretended to look offended, before lashing out at Neverpaw, knocking the young tom to the ground. "The Dark Forest may be evil, but they are strong. StarClan is weak." He spat.

Neverpaw stood up, growling as he lunged at Darkfang, only for Darkfang to twist around and grab Neverpaw by the neck, slamming him onto the ground.

Honeypaw stared at Lionpaw, looking reluctant. "Foxpaw, Splashpaw, go find Oakpaw and Palepaw!' She turned back and looked at Lionpaw. "Im not leaving you."

"Come on." Splashpaw wheeled around and darted intot he battle.

"Right behind you." Foxpaw followed.


Blackpaw snarled and lunged, ramming his head into Darkfang's shoulder. "Off!"

Palepaw looked around, fear in her eyes. She looked for someplace to hide, but saw nowhere. A warrior jumped in front of her and snarled. "H-Help!" she screamed.

Darkfang released Nightpaw, and Nightpaw twisted, sinking his claws into the older tom's pelt.

She lept in the air heaving her weight all on Dunedrift so that he'd collapse on Sandpaw... And then she could play innocent and say that Dunedrift suffocated the poor apprentice.

Dunedrift flung Sandpaw at the last moment, hitting the ground jaw-first. "Hurting her is like hurting a kit. I wont let you." he rolled over, trying to claw the cat.

Palepaw saw Splashpaw and Foxpaw, and heard the yowl from the warrior. She cowered behind Splashpaw, looking around frantically. "W-Where's everyone?!" she asked, seeing the warrior run off.

"Buh-bye coward!" Foxpaw called, chuckling.

"Fighting!" Splashpaw replied with a smile.


Blackpaw grinned and sank his teeth into the back of Darkfang's neck.

Honeypaw bounded down with Lionpaw.
