"Nice to meet you," Lightning said. "Come on, we have a giant hollowed-out tree stump that we stay in. It's really sturdy and dry." He stepped back to let his brother pass. "Thunder usually leads the way, in case anything attacks us." The smaller tom shuffled his paws. "He's kind of protective of me. Don't take it personally, he's grumpy a lot, but he's a really nice guy when you get to know him."

"I'll speak for myself, thanks," Thunder growled, but he looked more relaxed.

Silent nodded. “Ah I see. You don’t have to House me, I can do that myself, but I still appreciate you offering your home to me.”Silent mewed flashing his charming but sweet smile.

Backstory:
A fire spreads through the forest in an area with spaced out cabins. Some of the kittypets living in these homes escape, but don't know how to survive in the wild. 4 of them meet up and decide to stick together. They help each other survive, forming a council. They meet more cats who escaped the fire, as well as loners, who may join their clan.

Rules:
-Basic Roleplay Etiquette (don't power play, no mary sues, no killing off other people's chars without permission, be nice, etc)
-Max of 2 characters unless I tell you otherwise
-LGBT+ cats/ships are 100% allowed (you can specify their sexuality in the "other" section if you want)
-Other than that, nothing I can think of
also, you don't need to ask to do anything with the plot, in fact, please make your own plot events to make it more interesting. Maybe mention it first to ask opinions, but you don't need formal permission.

"No problem!" Lightning smiled back happily. "Come on, it's over here." Thunder stopped in front of a large stump. The other three quarters of the tree lay on the other side. "It used to be an actual tree," Lightning explained. "I was actually born during a storm, at the flash of lightning. Thunder was born soon after." He grinned. "No one would ever guess, but I'm older!"

She felt a fluttering sensation in her chest at the thought of going back to her old home, worried and excited at what they would find there. What if her housefolk were there? What had happened to her old nest? And of course, she had to say goodbye to her mate, now that the fire was gone...
