Honeypaw's tail quivered in excitement. "Lionstar trusts me enough to go on a patrol!" She squeaked. "Uhm...Okey. I think you're doing a great job, by the way." Honeypaw wasn't usually bubbly, but since this was her first patrol since she got back, she was more than happy.

Eagleflower could see the tom's hesitancy written clearly all over him, the nervous look in his eyes. It was the same look he got quite often in his own eye. He smiled reassuringly to the tom, gaze friendly.
"Don't stress yourself. I...I know how it feels. You're doing great!" He murmured, the last part just over one. He would give Honeypaw a quick tap on the head with his tail before he departed. "Good luck. You can do this." He purred, glancing towards the marshy pools ahead of him. Marking a spot silently, he moved into the next. How do Shadowclanners live with this stink?! The marshes smell like rotten fish...

Smiling at the two he gave a nod and went to do his duties. Marking every spot he came across , on his side of course , he made sure to do it three times in one. So he wouldn't have to go back and forth. Looking into the territory of shadowclan he wrinkled his nose....pests....nuisances....monsters.. He didn't know if they were always like this before Icestar was in charge...but...He disliked them now. Maybe they were nicer back then? He remembered hearing tales about Windystar... "if you had to choose a shadowclan leader to bring back to life and kick icestar out of power ...who would you bring back? I vote for Windystar. He didn't sound so bad . " he didn't sound ruthless either.

"Okey," Honeypaw rubbed her head quickly on Eagleflower's flank, before walking to where she was ordered, and remarked the scent marker.
Oh, this stench. She thought she smelled something else, but she wasn't sure. "I don't know what Windystar was like," she answered Sootclaw's question.
Padding farther along, it was stronger, but it wasn't fresh. The fur started to rise along her spine. "Uhmm...Guys? I think I smell a rogue. It's stale, though."

Life sounded all good and dandy between the three, and Eagleflower couldn't help but smile at Honeypaw's affectionate gesture. The little cat was a sweetpea, and a good apprentice, at that.
As Eagleflower did his rounds, the marsh stinking up the place, he managed to step in her another mud puddle. His maw wrinkled in disgust, and he tried to flick on off, mrrow turning anxious. He flicked his paws harder, but to no avail. He was now mudcat. Once again. At Sootclaw's words, he shrugged.
"Windystar was nice, but I liked Goldenstar, personally!" He mewed, smiling. What came next, surprised him indeed, "A rogue?"

Honeypaw tried to not laugh at Eagleflower, and nodded. "Right here, she pointed with her nose.

"eh, yeah...windy was nicer then this lump of flees" he glared towards shadowclan . Looking back at honeypaw "Windystar was a past shadowclan leader that sounds like he belongs in windclan" he smiled. It really did sound like it. ... Though he tensed when she said something about a stale rogue scent. "I better report that...good job for picking it up!" with that he want to finish his rounds.

Honeypaw purred. "Thank you." She went to finish marking her assigned area as well, going towards Eagleflower when she was done.

"Icestar is a bit much." Eagleflower had since finished with his marking, and hurried over to the scent. Mud clung to his pelt, and he left little mud marks as he went. The spot did smell strange, didn't it? After giving it a good sniff, he nodded once. That was rogue, alright. And it was found by his apprentice! His pelt pricked with pride, and he gave Honypaw a proud smile before nodding to Sootclaw.
"Lionstar will be happy to hear that some mouse-brain dated to come into the territory..." He mewed, tone dark. He hoped he didn't declare war on the outskirts. But who knew? He could do strange things at times.

Huffing "he sure would...for once can't riverclan just have peace? " he sighed . So many things happening . ..it was like this moon ...was the bad moon or something . Good starclan. Looking at the two "you two are dismissed . I'll reprort, but before you two come back could you be so kind to catch something for the clan? If it's no trouble . I'll hunt something after "
