Firestorm was sitting at the entrance of the nursery, rapidly swishing her tail back and forth behind her. By golly, this was so exciting! She was going to show Spots that she was not only a better hunter, but could be a competent medicine cat too if she should choose to become one.

Oh, would you look at that, little ones were already coming over! ”Hello, hello~ Kits comeome get checked up over here~!” The orange tabby chirped cheerfully. Foxkit and Spottedkit were the first to approach her so she gave both of them one of her brightest smiles and waved them over. ”Oho, you two~ a lovely day, innit? Come over here and lemme get a look at ya lovelies~” She called to the little ones. Ohh, maybe when she had kits of her own she could tell them about how cool their mom was, huh? They’d be mighty surprised wouldn’t they? ”Firestorm, the future leader of WindClan, and a medicine cat helper” had an absolutely delicious ring to it, didn’t it? Wait, focus Firestorm, it’s check-up time!

Blossomkit took a moment to groom herself before she strolled over to Firestorm, making sure she was squeaky clean. "Hello, Firestorm," she purred, blinking her long lashes. She rolled her eyes as she saw her annoying little brother crashing about, bumping into cats. She wouldn't be surprised if he got infected with the amount of cats he was headbutting. She had a good mood, but that would probably be ruined now by that evil being.

Airkit's head jerked over to the call. WOOHOO!!! CHECK-UP TIMEEEEEEE! "COMINGCOMINGCOMINGCOMING!!!" He superspeedran over, flinging dust at all passerby cats as he raced desperately. He noticed a worm racing alongside and put on an extra dose of super speed!!! Oh crappity. The worm won the race. Tail dragged across the ground as the miniature gray kit slunked over sulkily. Then his tail flew up as his eyes exploded with happiness. He would race the worm again tomorrow and he would win!!! And then he would smoosh the worm!!! Under his massive paw!!! Ohhhhhhh YEAH!!!!! Worm stood no chance against the MIGHTY AIRRRRRRKIT! His attention was soon taken (again) by his tail. He grinned malitiously as he leaped, aiming for that ratty little guy. He missed. He spun in circles, desperately trying to catch his tail, if he did he'd be super awesome!!! And win!!! For once!!! In his life!!! But that rascal was way too fast, even for super speed Airkit. Panting, the cutie patootie finally looked over at Firestorm, too out of breath to say anything.

Spottedkit slowly wagged her tail when Firestorm came to check up on her. She loved talking to new cats and well Firestorm wasn't particularly new she never spoken to them! So she was happy. "Hi Firestorm! I like your eyes, can we play mossball after this?" She beamed happily. The poor kit had the case of a runny nose but didn't seem to upset or slowed down. A slight cold.

Deadkit stared at Firestorm for a moment and then on her way to her, it was an opportunity to meet her clansmate, then she started to hear the loud squeals of happiness from all the kits that were nearby, "can't they be quiet?"she thought to herself, she started shaking the tip of her tail impatiently, she paused for a moment, "Hi Firestorm."
