Blizzardpelt had been unerved the last couple of days, and he wanted to sharpen his skills, due mostly to the fact he often chose words over violence, but he might as well still learn new (or old) moves. He padded over, his tail twitching. He gave his cream chest fur a quick, nervous lick, before sighing. Why did these things always had to happen? he shook his thick white fur, waiting for the training to begin.

Lilacpaw crept up slowly, quite interested to hear about a special training session. She had a bit of knowledge, though her last training exercise had been rather... playful instead of practice. But still!! This time she would be able to test her muscles and jumps again. So, the lilac-point made her way over to where warriors and apprentices alike were beginning to gather, settling next to an older apprentice who looked far more confident than she. Lilacpaw side-eyed them apprehensively, more so in curiosity to having been familiar with Lichenpaw.

Well, it was about damn time WindClan got a battle lesson. When Crowtooth had approached her with the idea, Bravebird had spent the days in between working on her own tactics that she could showcase and teach others. Too many of her Clanmates had turned soft, more worried about keeping the unattainable illusion of "peace" than striking hard and fast with the claws and teeth they were born with. Disgusted was an understatement when she thought of cats who'd rather go belly-up than fight for their Clan.

Standing beside the tom she cast him a sympathetic look as a fit of coughing overtook him. Despite it though he powered through to explain the rest of the event, and while the warrior was a bit sad they wouldn't get to spar with each other, she understood the necessity for mud dummies.

"Alright, you heard him," came the curt command as her sharp eyes swept the clearing. "Those with battle training, over here." With that she created some distance between herself and the tunneller so that cats would know where to go, taking a seat in front of some of the mud dummies a bit further down. Not before she saw Tigermist though, who looked ready to pop out kittens at any second. "Might not be a good idea for that one to partake in this. Don't need a pregnant cat's pride putting future Clan warriors at risk," she grumbled lowly to Crowtooth so that only he could hear. They'd already had that happen once at a meeting - they didn't need it again.

Once moved over Bravebird caught sight of the first cat to approach her, Hawkfur, and greeted him with a warm smile. Ever since the patrol they'd been on and their talk on the moors, she was glad to see his face amongst those participating. "Good to see you," she greeted with a friendly wave of her tail back and a nod of her head. Next was Bearpelt, then an older apprentice who approached Crowtooth first. But by the fire in her eyes it was clear this was not her first rodeo.

"Over here kid," she called to Lichenpaw with a grin, nodding to indicate that, yes, she had been speaking to her if the older apprentice turned to look. She had a spark to her... Brave recognized it as the same one she'd had in herself as a 'paw. Noticing Fallownose's apprentice had joined Lichenpaw, Bravebird was tempted to call her over as well. But she looked younger than her friend, and she didn't want to teach advance moves to a cat who didn't know basics as it could prove more risky than it was worth. Perhaps after, she could steal her away for a one on one lesson.

Lastly there was Catchingflame and Blizzardpelt, and Bravebird nodded to both Clanmates. There was still sometime for others to gather around so the lilac lynx-point decided to wait patiently for any other of her Clanmates to show up.

Birdpaw bounced up to... the warrior whose breathing and talking sounded funny. She couldn't remember his name. Caterpillarpaw ran up to Crowtooth. The tiny six moon old thought YAY! I'm learning how to FIGHT! This is going to be fun!

Snakepaw headed over to Crowtooth sluggishly while stifling a yawn. The six moon old was exhausted because she hadn't been able to sleep well for two nights in a row because of it. Her breathing was heavy and raspy and her chest ached with dull pain. And the cold was making it even worse, which was why she hated the cold. At least it was late enough that her thrust didn't hurt anymore. Oh and hopefully none of the moves would involve running because she couldn't run. Well TECHNICALLY she COULD but running had had... unwanted consequences since before her mother died when she was about a moon old. She was here because she knew that learning how to fight would be very useful.

Foxpaw walked up to Crowtooth slowky on her three functioning legs, her twisted back leg held slightly off the ground. The underaged four moon old apprentice knew that learning how to fight woild be useful.. and also might be fun.

Beastpaw careened over, bouncing on her pads excitedly. "LOOKIT BIRDYBEE! WORMSSS!" and promptly released a slight rainfall of the wriggly ground-dwellers onto the ground between the two hyperactive apprentices. Her sister's words finally sunk in and she bounced around even more intensely than before. FIGHTING YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS

The tunneler had been sitting watching the cats file in with a pleased expression when a particular cat caught his eye. Tigermist was here and while the tom really appreciated the enthusiasm it seems him and Bravebird were thinking the same thing. A battle training event was no place for a pregnant queen. He was pretty sure too much movement while so heavily pregnant could be damaging to both queen and kits so something as aggressive and taxing as this event? No way. Tigermist was not participating unless one of the medicine cats gave the ok.


Which was unlikely.



So with a nod to his partner he called out, roping in another cat who didnt have much of a place here either "Poppysong @MangofDoom , 'f yer interested 'n helpin' than can you escort Tigermist @peppermintbubble. here back ta camp?" The tom rasped and turned to the queen "Sorry doll, this aint safe fer you or yer kits. If ya wanna do some sparrin' then find me anytime after theyre born an' I'll help out wit' that. fer now 'f ya wanna do activity 'cuz yer goin' stir crazy than maybe ask Lighteningstorm or Cowtuft what isnt too hard ta do?" The wheezed offer was really the best he could do and he gave a sheepish shrug.


"Off the both of ya pop. Poppysong I don' think theres much else that needs help after that, thank ya though." So unless her mind was changed and she wanted to participate he wasnt sure what else there was to do.



Matter settled the tom focused back on the grouping cats, muttering "Lets give 't a bit more time. Good numbers though." to Bravebird. @birdie

Poppypaw approached, interested, when she heard the call. She really needed some training, since she knew nothing until now, and had been an apprentice for some time. Her mentors constantly changed and now she didn't even know who was the one that should pass on their knowledge.

Well then, a battle training event. While Silverpaw would certainly love to train with her mentor only (exaggerating, of course), she found most mentors to be rather... Untrustworthy, put lightly. Traitorous in the worst cases. And although she was much older than any other apprentice gathering here today, much to her hidden discomfort, Silverpaw never did pass up a chance to train and learn more. So when Crowtooth's raspy voice called for a training event, after she had neatly groomed her fur - after all she ought to be presentable - the older apprentice deftly joined the growing groups of felines who, given they wouldn't disappear halfway through, were willing to learn. It was always pleasant seeing others take their training seriously. Stars knew WindClan needed some actual serious warriors.

Now, here she was presented with only a single issue: to find this 'Bravebird'. She had to say, the name was not entirely unfamiliar to her, but Silverpaw was by all means far more acquainted with Crowtooth... In a manner of speaking. She always had the intention to, but never did get the chance to request tunnelling lessons from the tunneller. She ought to approach him about it later. But for now, the battle training. Something told her they wouldn't be teaching anything she didn't already know, but the fact still stood that she was severely out of practice. So, here she was, among the young.

Now despite her early issue of finding the other warrior, in practice, it truly wasn't that hard. She spotted a warrior, close to her age if she had to guess, surrounded by apprentices and the aforementioned tunneller. There was a twinge of familiarity - just in passing - tied to the feline's appearance, but Silverpaw would not think of it further. Not now. It could simply be that she was one of the few still present from her time (how unlikely) or resembled someone who once did. Or, was she the feline who first spoke out against the alliance with ShadowClan? Ah, that must be it. So Bravebird is her name. Without further waiting, she approached the warrior with a polite though somewhat curt nod. It may come as no surprise that Silverpaw had little remaining trust for the warriors of WindClan, except for a select few, though it appeared this one had at least some part of her head screwed on right... Partially, at least.
