Honeystream laid out in the clearing, basking in the sun. She laid near the warriors den, as it was her favorite spot in camp. This was mostly because no annoying kits or apprentices tried to wander around there. She sighed to herself contently, closing her eyes and hoping to get some peace for once.

Elmpaw sat alone in the clearing visualizing a new move he had learned practicing it over and over again in his head.I must perfect this move, apprenticehood isn't for fun and games its for training and learning to become a warrior he licked his paw and glanced around at some kits who were happily playing as they should be, elders who were being helped by the apprentices and were telling stories as they should be, warriors resting from after a patrol as they deserved, and apprentices clowning around, something clearly undeserved.

Onyxclaw spotted Elmpaw. Well, better than nobody. "Hello, Elmpaw." He greeted, sitting near him as he kept his gaze on the apprentices. "Why aren't you over there having..." he paused and seemed visibly annoyed at having to say the word "fun."

Viperstrike paused, looking surprised."Starclan does strange things in ones life. Such as take a loved one, or let you hear voices." Viperstrike softly purred. "But they also bring new life and hope. I doesn't matter, voices or not. Its not weird, or disgusting. Its actually cool! Do you talk back to them. C'mon, if you don't like what they say giv'um some sass!"

Halestar stood and circled around the tom, looking at him with a gentle expression. She gently pushed at one of his legs to see how his weight was distributed and looked at him, meeting his gaze. "Pretty good, however you have too much weight on your paws- that would make it so while you are stalking prey you may alert them with heavy footsteps." she said, crouching down into that position again.

Onyxpaw was shocked to feel Halestar softly push at his leg. He had been pouting and being miserable before being disturbed by his mentor, bringing on a bout of surprise for a brief moment. He was quick to recover, rolling his shoulders as to gather himself. He scowled at Halestar's instructions, silently calling her a know-it-all, though he was aware that as a mentor, it was a requirement for her to perfect his technique. He simply knew how to hold a grudge.

``How's this?`` Onyxpaw questioned with genuine interest. Though he currently felt anger towards Halestar, he was excited to learn how to hunt. He was on his way to becoming a warrior! He had shifted his weight now, evenly distributing it. Before Halestar could even respond or test his position, he continued to speak, ``What now? Do I jump?``

"Much better." Halestar quickly responded, crouching down to his position and looking at him with a small smile- hiding her strain for patience. She said a quick word to StarClan, praying for patience with his apprentice, before continuing about how to hunt. "No, you don't jump until you are close enough to your prey. You carefully stalk forward, keeping your weight on your toes and being as gentle as you can. Any noise will alert the prey that you are coming- and that's not very good. Keep your pawsteps light and follow me. We will be walking through the edges of the training ground, trying to find a mouse or toad to get." she mewed quietly, carefully stalking towards the outer edges of the training area.
