Character of the Month (October 2021)

Welcome to Character of the Month, a feature designed to recognize two characters who deserve kudos!

Using the form found at the bottom of this post, you may nominate two Main Roleplay characters you think deserved to be featured! Please use one form per character - they should not be in the same form.

For the sake of giving every character a chance, avoid nominating cats who have already been nominated for the month.

Nominations will be held for approximately 3 weeks, ending around the the 21st of every month. Once it ends, a poll will be posted displaying the names of the characters who qualify for voting.

Users can vote for as many characters as they want to be recognize. It is discouraged to vote for every character listed, as only two will win.

If two characters have the most votes, but they are roleplayed by the same person, the winner will be picked by staff based on the nomination reasons, and the second winner will default to the next highest vote.

The voting period will end on the last day of the month, and the results will be posted on the 1st of the new month.

Before you nominate, please keep these in mind.

• Characters should have been roleplayed within the last two weeks of being nominated to avoid inactive characters being featured.
  
  
• You may not nominate your own characters, or advertise your characters to gain nominations.
  
  
• Characters used to violate a roleplay rule cannot be voted for the month they broke the guideline. They will be omitted from the final polling.
  
  
• Nominations must include an explanation of why the character deserves recognition. Posts that do not provide a reasoning will be removed. Additionally, be thorough in your evaluation of the character. Vague or thoughtless statements (e.g. "they're cool") will result in your nomination being discarded. We want to know why you think this cat deserves attention!
  
  
• You may nominate two characters, but avoid nominating characters who have already been nominated.

Why should this character be featured?
Lionkit is such a fur baby! She's very sensitive to almost everything and gets upset very easily. She's the cutest and the baby of the family. I love how Moonraven roleplays her and has developed her just like all her characters. Definitely deserved COTM.

Why should this character be featured?: GRIMHOUND'S PARTNER IN CRIME! The one cat that he can actually tolerate outside of Dawnstar. Quick witted and a sharp intelligence, Addersnow can either be a formidable opponent or a fiercely loyal ally. Generally following her own set of rules, she doesn't care for the opinions of others and will do whatever she pleases, whenever she pleases. An absolute pleasure to read!

Why should this character be featured?: They should be featured because I love them. Loon is an absolute madlad. He is loyal and kind too others. He deserved some praise. He is in no doubt of loyalty and will do whatever kestrelstar needs no matter what. Which I think is super cool and what riverclan needs right now. Looncry is also superhelpful to others. Thats why he deserves this.

Why should this character be featured?: cuz she's still the completely (un)lovable she was back at the beginning of the year. :3

Why should this character be featured?: Cloverkit is an absolute darling, their chaotic nature is so funny and so endearing! I love how Ghostie potrays Clover as an entitled kit with no idea about consequences, but the way they're written you can completely see their point of view, and you love them even more for their rascal nature. I definitely think Cloverkit will go on to do big, or at least mildly entertaining, things and I'm so excited to see where they'll go!

Why should this character be featured?: Swiftwind is honestly such a compelling character and her demeanor is so lovely. She's roleplayed very well by nixey and I think its done well on how her anxiety isn't her whole character and she's something more than it.

Why should this character be featured?: Larkfrost is honestly one of my favorite queens. Lark is always thinking of her kits. She’s such a great mother to Bushkit and his siblings, and he couldn’t of gotten a better cat for the job.
