Yep, you'd be able to do that!

We don't want anyone to kill their characters for this or erase them-- we just want the active characters you are motivated rp to be the ones involved in the Clans! It's pointless and super hard to keep track of Clan counts when so many people come and go with dozens of mostly unused characters. If you're feeling one character and not another, you can have them be moved to missing while the one you want to rp remains on the allegiance as a productive member of the Clan.

Missing cats aren't dead, they're just inactive and would be considering missing in roleplay since they're not in use (and therefore not interacting with anyone or doing patrols.) Once you swap them back, you might need an IC reason for their disappearance (like being captured by Twolegs) but the leader probably won't give them too much grief over it.

For those of us who travel and would be gone for long periods of time or simply just not have the opportunity to post for a set amount of days would this need to be reported to those keeping tabs on missing cats? Or would they go missing during this time and have to get accepted following their return?

Character activity would be checked every two weeks. If you haven't made one post with the character in that time, they would be placed into missing and you would need to have them be accepted upon your return.

Would that policy be null and void if a character´s owner was on a hiatus, or would they come back to all their cats missing?

It applies to everyone regardless of hiatus.

Us knowing you're gone because of a RL vacation doesn't mean our characters would, therefore they would be missing.

Leaders might decide to punish the cat if literally that's all they're doing since they'd be sitting around, basically-- but they wouldn't be tagged under missing or inactive.

Oh-

Face= I´m a pessimist here and I´m like:

-What if I´m in a car accident or likewise and go to the hospital for a while and I can´t get on

-What if my city loses all internet for two weeks

And a bunch of other things that I´m too lazy to list!

Pay no attention to my worrisome antics though, just explanin´ the face to make sure no one thinks I´m a whiner!

Then you'd just have to come back when you can and have your characters get re-approved by the leader. It's not like your character is being exiled or anything, they've just disappeared and the Clan doesn't know where they went or why. The Clan leader will probably just want to know where they went and debrief them on anything important that happened in their absence.
