Now that the chaos had dissolved and they were settling down for the night, Rosepaw needed to talk. Spotting an annoyed Brokenshadow, a grin spread across her face and she trotted over. Before she could reach him, the shout of Skyfrost's kits made her freeze. What to choose. Spotting Brokenshadows ear twitch impatiently, she snorted. Of course he wouldn't care. Running over to Skyfrost she called out to Brokenshadow. "Help her!" Better to force him to do something then let him sit there lamely.

Brokenshadow slowly looked up, then his gaze zipped over to Rosepaw as she called for him, his groan of annoyance loud. After they both almost drowned and him taking the time to save her sorry tail he gets a hissy demand? He gave the Apprentice a glare as he padded past. "Don't act like you're the Deputy, Rosepaw. Act like the Apprentice you are instead of ordering the better cats around." But he didn't see much use in just sitting around instead of helping. Then he wondered how he'd help if he wasn't a Medicine Cat. He'd never handled herbs before, so would he just sit and watch Skyfrost in pain?


Sure. If that's what Rosepaw wanted so bad she'll get it. Brokenshadow padded over to the Queen and watched, his gaze cold as he watched her struggle to birth.

Skyfrost let out a squeal as pain ripped at her stomach. "Please help me!" She begged Brokenshadow. "I've never done this before! I'm scared!" She let out another howl. She knew sooner or later the kits would come. Where was Dapplelight?

He sat for a moment more, then stood up, the squeal of pain making Brokenshadow a bit uncomfortable, but even with his sympathy for the Queen showing he still had no idea how to help her, but it seemed like the others wouldn't do anything else so he had to be the one to do something. Like usual.


"Just, erm, I'll look for something to help you. While I look just lay down and take deep breaths, I think?" He just wanted her to stop screeching! He turned and looked around wildly, his heart stopping for a moment as he suddenly regretted what he'd just decided to do. What was he supposed to gather? What was he supposed to give her? He didn't know! StarClan, he needed help!

The black tabby sat alone, looking at the stars. StarClan must have had a reason to send that flood and take Cinderdust from them, right? She couldn't hear anything but her own thoughts. Why had StarClan sent the flood? And in the middle of Fire and Smoke! She sighed, shaking her head. This was horrible. First Rainstar died, then the Jaguar attacked camp, then the storm, the flood, and now.

Now, VoyageClan was sleeping in the open, shivering, half-drowned and she could barely heal them without any herbs! How could she do that? And on top of that pile of mousedung, her new apprentice was ridiculously disrespectful! Why? She didn't know. Why had StarClan done this to her? To her Clan? To her family?

She was trying to calm down. She took deep breaths, thought about her sister. She needed her to push through. She took one last deep breath and was calm. She blinked slowly, feeling her kits moving about inside her.

The tuxedo tom was sitting up on the edge of the Clan. The flood had made quite an impact. He tapped a forepaw impatiently. If they hadn't of stopped, they could be at their new camp by sunrise!
