Blaze watched as the other apprentice concentrated on the prey that she was going to catch. He kept silent while holding his catch in his mouth, seeing the older tom looked confused for her. He sat down as well to watch, keeping himself still as to not create any noises. He wondered if she was taught this by her mentor, which would give her better chances at catching the prey than just going off of something some other cat did.

Suddenly Cherrypaw launched forward into a patch of tall grass. There was a rustle the indicated a small struggle, then everything was still. Moments later she stepped out of the grass, dragging along with her a plump squirrel.
