He snarled," Fine you piece of fox-dung, I'll have to find them myself! Send an apprentice out, or something!"

Coffeebean shook his head," Listen Cucumberpickle, the snow is to thick we won't find a trace of them anywhere, the snow is deeper than me, think logically...We'll search when it calms down, we have prey, no one's hunting in this."

He spat," Watch the kits and don't leave. I'm gonna find her then...,"

Cinderkit watched the two toms argue and gave a soft whimper as her father left, "Don't leave..." She whispered, staring at her paws. The kit turned to Coffeebean and frowned, "Is my mom ever going to come back? Or my dad?"

Coffeebean was startled," I've known your father my whole life, he'll return, your mother I'm not so sure, she was always in trouble for something... When we were all apprentices, your father would tell the leader up front that he disagreed and didn't care that Almondfall, who was Almondstar them, would get mad... your mother on the other hand left for a moon to be a kittypet, but your father persuaded her to return, and I guess that's where she went... Trust me young kit, he'll be back. He'd never leave you."

Cinderkit nodded, "Alright.." She said, her eyes flashing, "Wait.. My mother was a kittypet?" The kit asked, narrowing her eyes as her ears went flat against her skull. "But... Kittypets are weak? She wouldn't have.." She told him, her tail lashing behind her as she shook her head, "Maybe it's possible.. At first she didn't even think we had names or genders.." Her dark pelt was puffed up and she sighed, "You t-think that's where she went?"

"They aren't mates anymore?" She asked quitely. The kit felt like the world was falling around her as she listened to what the tom said. Cinderkit sat down and stared at her paws, "With Sandykit be alright?"

Cinderkit's narrowed eyes flashed with pain but her gaze quickly shifted to a tired look, "It's fine.. She probably still doesn't know we have genders or names still.." The dark pelted kitten turned and padded back to her nest, flopping down quietly.
