Hornetsting said nothing, simply scrunching up his scarred muzzle as he pushed through the camp entrance. "Blackpaw, what is your goal in life? Whats your... ideal outcome?" He asked, finally lifting his head out instead of being hunched back as <usual.

“My goal...?” Blackpaw asked and thought for a moment. What is my goal? To become leader, deputy, or simply very important. “To be important to clan life, hopefully one day as deputy or even leader.” Blackpaw said excitedly.

Blackhaze trekked through the Darkforest, determined to find Hornetsting. “Hornetsting! Hornetsting are you here?!”

The large brute was laying on the a smouldering log, burnt and cracked. He opened a single amber eye, licking his tongue over his crooked yellow fangs. "What do you want, brat?" He huffed, a nicknane of affection.

Blackhaze smiled widely at the tease before remembering his new reality and sobering up. “Well... I just needed to talk to you, some stuff has been happening and I don’t know what to do about it.” He mewed. As he spoke he realized how hopeless everything was.

Huff. At least the kid remembered who to truly turn to in times of need! Hornet flicked his tail tip, jumping down. His large paws kicked up dust and Ash as they smacked the ground. "Your first mistake was getting into a mess already... but go on,", he grunted.

Blackhaze slumped sadly, “I know...” he sat down and took a deep breath to get ready for the whole lecture he was sure to receive.

“Falcondive told me that Icestar was just using me. So he created this thing for us to overthrow her. I saw your granddaughter Dogpaw there by the way. Then Icestar was killed and when I went to talk to Falcondive before he left he said he was only using me. Now I want to disband the cult because our new leader is Dawnstar and she’s worse. Now I want to become deputy. Plus I still have to look after my two boys, Subkit and Raccoonkit, my sisters, Foggybrook and Darkpaw, my brother, Frecklepaw, and a whole bunch of friends. I’m just.... I’m just so lost..” by now Blackhaze has his head down and was lightly sobbing, “Everything has been so wrong since you died... the voice in my head won’t shut up. I’ve killed cats. I just don’t want to do it anymore... I can’t keep up. Everyone I try to trust uses me or leaves.” He couldn’t seem to make everything bugging him. Among those was Scorchpaw, Bearstrike, and everything in between. “I’m tired dad...” He whispered without thinking first or remembering he’d said it.

Okay. That was a lot to take in. Hornetsting blinked, slowly raising a brow at his old apprentice. He couldn't help but note the brats need to call him dad, which gave him awful flashbacks to his collection of disappointing children... but Blackhaze being a child of his wasn't the most shocking of news, it wasn't as if he prided himself on being monomogys. If he could best his children, who said he wouldn't cheat?

"Murder." He said bluntly, his whiskers quivering. "Thats your solution here! I do believe this dawn cat hasn't exactly gotten her lives yet, no? Take the remainders of your cult and simply crush her," he snarled the deadly words out, stomping on a twig that seemed to practically disintegrate under his paws. "You don't need friends, family. At the end of the day they'll simply turn and betray you like Falcondive did... The only cat you really need is me, i can't do much from the dead, can I?" He spoke coldly but his voice simply lacked emotion, nothing about it venomous or suspicious. He carefully moved over, large tail curling around Blackhaze. "All you need is your dad, right?"

Blackhaze started at the floor before looking up at Hornetsting, “But all the cats that are left are weak or stupid. What if I became deputy and then waited her out? Or.... I don’t know! I don’t want to kill her, it just... she’s stronger than me... I know, she trained me after you did...” HES OUR DAD!!!!!! Ok... ok maybe... maybe... I don’t know!! He just wanted to sob. It was too much. He could even begin to come up with everything wrong at the moment, there were no words to discribe the emotions he was feeling.
