Flame began to awaken. His spell of sudden sleep had lasted but a few minutes, and he didn't feel as sick anymore. Strangely enough, he almost wanted to return to his caverns. His home. He had hated all of it, the caverns that had trapped him. But it hurt to be ripped away from the only thing he knew. This strange new world... it would take some time for him to learn how to navigate it.

"Thank you for the fish, uh, Specklemouse?" he said, still feeling rather lightheaded. He tore away at his meal, and his head began to stop spinning.

Specklemist smiled but said nothing to correct him. "Her name is actually Specklemist," Troutstone corrected, "and Specklemist, this is Flame. He helped me." He took another bite out of his fish.

Flame smirked. What dumb names. "You would have likely perished had I not been there," he boasted, still giddy at having escaped the caverns.

"Whatever," Troutstone muttered jokingly, then yawned. "How far to RiverClan?" He asked Specklemist. "A day or two, at a pace," she replied, gazing curiously at Flame, having noticed his strange behavior. "You OK," she enquiered.

Flame nodded. "Yeah uh.. First time being outside!" he said wearily. He looked around, still taking everything in.

Troutstone narrowed his eyes and muttered just lout enough that Flame would hear. "Not what you told me."

Specklemist gasped. "You have been stuck in there your whole life? You poor thing!" She moved closer to nuzzle him with her nose.

He ignored Troutstone's remark. He had never said that he had been outside before. Only implied it. He meekly stared at his paws. "What do you do up here?" he asked.

"What do you mean? Like what do you do out in the open?" Specklemist asked. She hadn't. Really. Thought about it. "I guess you just hang around, survive, explore, make friends."

Flame laughed. He suddenly fell over on the ground, then hopped back to his feet. He was still rather dizzy. "Silly Speckmouse. I already know that much. But where? Where do you-" Flame stopped midsentence, trying to keep steady footing.

Quietly the pretty she-cat sniffed the wooden frame of the cavern hetero-chromatic green and amber eyes shining brightly as she scanned the darkness within. "Hello? Is anyone there?" she called calmly her gaze flicking behind her before going back to the strange area abandoned by two legs. She swore she could hear voices which had lead her to call out in the first place and wait for a response.
