@fenic! @Suspiciousmindz @wolybro

Meanwhile, a few tree-lengths away in a more covered part, lay an unmoving Moonpaw. The badger had wandered back into it's nest, deeming the still she-cat unworthy of finishing off. A soft breeze ruffled her fur, and her eyes - or at least, one remaining eye - was shut tight. Oddly enough, a weak ray of sunlight shone through the tree tops and birdsong seemed to come out of nowhere. A moment later, Moonpaw blinked, letting the hazy surroundings settle in her vision. Puzzled, the she-cat got up and shook her fur, glancing around. Everything seemed normal, and she was about to call for her friend before an icy chill overtook her. There, at her paws, surrounded in crimson blood, was... herself.
Fear kept her ridged, eyes unblinking and every fiber frozen. She could tell that she was not breathing, or at least not that she could see. A large pool of bright red blood stained the frozen ground around her, and the black parts of her fur blended in with it - the snowy white parts being stained by the sharp color. A gagging noise could be heart as Moonpaw stumbled backwards, shocked that she could so easily see herself. Scared and not sure what to do, a shrill wail rose up from her, however unbeknownst to her, no cat would be able to hear her. "Tawnypaw! Surgestorm! Swiftflight! Leopardpaw!" she called, her voice a hoarse choking sound as she shook her head, muttered unaudible words. Was she dead? She looked down at her paws and was surprised to be able to see right through them. No, no, no.... she thought, shaking her head even more as tears flooded over her eyelids, blinding her vision as she sank into the snow, sides heaving with each gasping sob that racked her body. She couldn't be dying. She just couldn't.
After a few moments passed, the WindClan apprentice felt a presence by her side. A familiar scent washed over her and she gasped, eyes flying open. "Mom?" she whispered, turning her head slowly to look at who had joined her. A jolt of happiness shot through her and she scrambled to her paws, ramming her head into the newcomer's chest. "Mom!" she cried, her frightful wails turning into tumbling purrs of affection.
The newcomer, Birdflight, smiled and simply nudged her daughter's head, a loud purr rumbling from her. "I've missed you, love," she murmured, to which Moonpaw felt herself melt further into her mother's soft warm fur. "But it is not your time yet." Moonpaw blinked and looked, confused, at her mother as she spoke. Not her time?
"Does that mean that... I...?" she wondered, but before she could ask anymore questions, her mother's starry outline began to fade. "No, come back!" she wailed, desperate, for one last moment with her beloved mother. Realizing that she was gone, Moonpaw felt the tears rejoin together, threatening to spill over the edges as her whole body trembled with sadness. I don't want to go back, she thought angrily, muscles flexing underneath her coat. Her starry outline began to shift momentarily with the though, and the real Moonpaw's temperature began to slowly drop.

She paused, staring at her reflection for a moment in a frozen puddle. She wondered why she looked very little like either of her parents, but she shook it off and continued to groom herself, giving most of her attention to a few of her minor scrapes. “Well, I can tell you where my loyalties lay, but I won't.” she replied, looking up at her friend. She was partially indicating that her loyalties weren't with Blazingstar, as he was too weak, or with Shrikecall, as he was too old. And StarClan was a whole other story, as she didn't really believe in StarClan. She and Shinepaw had an odd friendship, not really as close as most, and sort of between rivals and friends, but Phantompaw liked that. “I hope so.” she meowed, her icy blue eyes bright with excitement and pride, but also something undescribable.
"You have other loyalties? I'll admit, BlazingStar...is pretty new...and...doesn't really know how to cope with certain things just yet. And we all know Shrikecall won't last long either...he's in his way out like Bramblespeck and any other WindClan deputy after BlazingStar. It's like the position is cursed. And Halestar and Moondancer of ShadowClan aren't any better either! The leader is crazy for Starclan's sake and can't even trust them self let alone their own clan! Moondancer will soon be replaced. She has that flea-brained Tom Cedarvine running after her all the time, you can tell he wants her as his mate." ShinePaw took a breath after her long speech then waited for Phantompaw's reply.

Hardly any cat knew Lilypelt's name. Well, as she thought about, she realized that there were probably more cats than she thought. She shrugged it off. At least the deputy saved her from having to give out an awkward introduction. Not being one to socialise or talk to new cats much, Lilypelt wasn't very good at introducing herself.

The warrior didn't have much confidence in herself. In the past few moons, she had gained a little bit more confidence, but ever since the departure of Sorrelskip and Gorsefeather, her confidence had sagged down to where it was before. Lilypelt hadn't even tried socializing ever since. The she-cat had changed a lot from the cat she was many moons again.
In the past, she was just a shy cat that searched desperately to make friends. She had succeeded a very few amount of times, finding a nice cat named Pricklewhisker, who to this day was now her best friend. Although seemed to rarely see him these days anyway. The only friends she appeared to have, were tears.

"Oh yes, i'm doing quite fine," Lilypelt replied in a soft voice, and the she-cat did her best to stay strong. The statement just seemed to make her emotionally weaker. "How are you yourself? I'm sure deputy duties must be keeping you busy," Lilypelt remarked, trying not to let any emotions show through. How embarrassing would that be if she just suddenly broke down in front of the deputy? Don't let your emotions get the better of you! Lilypelt scolded herself within her thoughts. The light grey tabby looked down at the ground, watching as the grass swayed to the soft breeze.
For all of this time, four words stayed in her mind no matter how hard she tried to push them back.

No. I'm not fine.
Normally Shrikecall would leave it at that. I'm fine. That's all he needed to hear to go, but her voice seemed to say otherwise. Well, Heathertail has kind of a soft voice....his thoughts seemed to be reminding him. But she was unique, and the only cat he'd met who was able to talk like that without him thinking something was wrong. He trusted her to tell him. Unlike you, his thoughts nagged at him again. He hadn't told her his suspicions that he would probably never get to become leader...and Shrikecall sincerely doubted that he would live too much longer. He was older, after all. Seventy moons of age... he'd seen and heard more, and was still learning. Every time he thought he had seen everything in the Clans, something new would always come.
Sometimes it was just an old thing that he hadn't seen in a while, or something that was constantly amazing him, but most of the time? It was new. Like SkyClan-- Shrikecall had been confused about what to do. He'd never heard of a 'SkyClan.' But they were helping to get rid of Singenight, and so he fought alongside them. Or tried to, at least. It hurt when a clanmate would attack him-- and not physically, but emotionally. Which was surprising, seeing the brown and white tom now. He didn't look that old. He looked strong for his advanced age, which was strange... he felt much weaker then he appeared, which definitely bothered the Deputy.

Most of the time he would wonder if he really should be doing this. He'd thought about stepping down multiple times, but decided not to-- it was probably a bad idea. No matter how much he would have liked to, Shrikecall knew his job was to serve his Clan. His place was with his Clan. "Hm? Oh...yes. I've been doing alright, little busy... but I don't mind it." He shrugged, trying to think how to get her to tell him if something was wrong. But he didn't know how. Social skills were something that, although Shrikecall was learning to use the little he had, he didn't have much of. They were awkward and not as refined as he would like them to be, but they were there. That was the important thing...wasn't it? To at least have them for when he might need them? It didn't matter that they wouldn't be considered 'perfect,' they had always been good enough.
For Heathertail, but she's...special? He guessed. "So what brings you out here? Just a walk? Or hunting? Maybe patrolling the territory, on your way to the border?" He suggested. His tone hinted that the last two were more important then the first, but he wasn't one to judge... he'd been out for a walk earlier too. It was nice to do that sometimes in the morning, first thing... and although it was already later in the day, Shrikecall was going on another one. He'd find something useful to do a little later, but for now his eyes were fixed directly on the she cat beside him. Sometimes Shrikecall thought him being Deputy wasn't a good idea.
After all, someone who was a little more friendly might have been ideal. But he did have experience and had lived in WindClan for a long time. Maybe that was what Blazingstar wanted... otherwise he wouldn't be Deputy. And he could get friendlier over time! Might take a miracle, but he could do it. It wasn't impossible for him to be friendly now, after all.

Default Re: WindClan Clearing

Everything had become routine. Well, not everything...there were always those talks with Heathertail, or an unexpected conversation with a clanmate, but mostly...things were pretty routine. Why wouldn't they be? He was a Deputy, things were supposed to be routine and organized all the time. That was the way Shrikecall liked it. But unfortunately, it seemed he had developed closer bonds with a few members of the Clan then he would have liked to...and tended to stay away from others, which he also didn't like. He should be treating everyone equally, with respect, but it hadn't worked quite the way he had thought. Of course there were always going to be cats that Shrikecall would disagree with, or who didn't appreciate his ideas. He could still get along with them. Couldn't he? Shrikecall stretched out, unsheathing his claws to stretch them.
A long time ago, he might have been doing this right before attacking, but now? Thanks to SkyClan, there was peace. He had no reason to attack anyone. Not unless a loner, or stranger, like those three cats who had arrived earlier did so. Those three cats. Where were they? Was Blazingstar allowing them to come into the Clan? Oh, he hoped not. There was something strange about them. But, Shrikecall had learned to deal with things he couldn't control. This wasn't his decision-- someday, perhaps, if he were to live that long, but not until then.
Which bothered him. He would have liked to be in control of this, and yet he wasn't. So he would have to accept it for what it was...at least, for the moment being...and pray to StarClan that whatever was decided, it wouldn't mess up. He wanted things to go smoothly so, so badly. And he could only hope that was what would happen. Shrikecall got to his paws for a brief moment, and then-- tired-- settled back down. What had happened to his stamina? He felt like it had gone down so much over the previous twenty moons or so.

"Right this way." Shrikecall's expression obviously showed his displeasure, but what could he do about it? Now it was up to Blazingstar to either accept these strangers or turn them away as he believed should have been done in the first place. It was nothing personal to them-- but Shrikecall didn't trust cats who suddenly showed up. Especially with everything that had been happening. How did he know that they weren't going to start another evil era? But he needed to trust that the leader would make the right decision. Whatever happened would be fine. Hopefully. The Deputy shifted his weight, glancing back at Infernosky. This conversation wasn't going to involve him, which he now knew-- and while that was infuriating, at the same time he was okay with it. He waited for her to approach, and hopefully...things would go well. He was praying to StarClan that whatever happened would be the right decision-- even if it wasn't in his mind. Then again, what did he know? Seventy moons...you'd think I would recognize her name, but no. Shrikecall couldn't ever remember there being a Deputy named Infernosky. So if she was lying about that, couldn't she be lying about other things? He had no idea. There was always a chance she was telling the truth, but Shrikecall preferred to ignore that option. He didn't want to believe it...mainly because he didn't want to admit that he might have been wrong.

Cool Re: WindClan Apprentices' Den

{ @Duskflight }
Leopardpaw padded into the den, limping slightly as her paw pained a bit, but nothing she couldn't handle. As she padded in, she saw her sister, Adderpaw, who she hadn't really spoken to much. Especially not recently with her being in the den with Surgestorm and such. She put on a smile, something she was great at, and padded to the much smaller molly. Sure, they were around the same age, but Leopardpaw would be one of the largest cats in WindClan, due to her true mix of breeds. As she walked up, she lowered her head slightly and then sat down when she reached her. "Hey, Adderpaw." she meowed friendly-like. "How have you been?" she asked. She felt like a giant compared to her sibling. Being a Savannah Bengal, it was no surprise she was much larger than anyone in the clan. She wondered if her sister was in the den when she crashed through the wall when she did her dare. Most apprentices were, but there were some lucky few who were out a little later than planned and who weren't there when she did the dare. She shifted her weight slightly as she remembered the act, and her paw pained slightly as she did, and so she took some weight off to ease it some.

The glossy she cat faded and she found herself in Windclans Medicine Casts den. She looked around and saw no one. She saw a feather on a spotted leaf. She knew her a d SpottedHeart were meant to be. (Guys, please refrain from being unrealistic. The wounds are not severe enough that they'd still be bleeding to death, and if they ate the herbs Surge gave them they wouldn't be in this much pain. Also, please refrain from posting multiple times before I reply, when you do that it's too much to reply to, which is why I'm writing a more general post below.)

Surgestorm laid another layer of cobwebs on top of the older layer on both patients for extra precaution and then nudged each two poppy seeds. He also nudged coltsfoot to Featherlight to help ease her breathing. "Eat these herbs, they'll help," He meowed calmly. The medicine cat then sat back on his haunches and went through the usual speech. "You'll have to stay in the medicine cat den for a day or two so that I can moniter your wounds, but after that you can move back to the warriors den. However, you'll still have to take it easy after that for a few more days." He took a deep breath and let it out. "You two made it out pretty unscathed for fighting a fox, must have kicked it's butt."

(This about wraps up this rp, btw. You should only respond one more time and then have your characters sleeping. I have another rp that'll happen soon, so you'll have to stop posting then.)

@Jaymist/Ravenkit
"Thank you, Surgestorm. I know you're a hard-working Medicine Cat. Using this time to heal your patients takes time and effort. I praise you." Spottedheart complimented the tom. She glanced at Featherlight, who had just licked up the poppy seeds. She figured she'd do the same to ease the pain. The calico she-cat bent her head and gulped down the poppy seeds. "Again, I couldn't thank you enough. For sparing your time towards both me and Featherlight." She lay her head down, letting the soothing sounds of nature fill her ears, and the scent of herbs fill her nose, her heaves lifting and dropping gently. Eventually, she closed her eyes and let her mind drift off into a uptopian world, that inside, she knew didn't exist.
