Poppy jumped, a little startled by Kane. Poppy nodded in agreement "It'll be weird without Jake...but we can do it!" Poppy looked at Kane and mumbled to herself "So your not hung up on Ciara."

Ciara sat on the couch, reading a book. Alyssa was playing with some toys on the rug in front of her. Kane and Poppy were upstairs and Esther was repairing Calico in the basement with Moonwatcher. Poppy walked downstairs to the kitchen. Ciara didn't notice.

Kane realized that he was blushing and covered his face with his hands. "No one," he hissed. He felt a hand on his shoulder and looked up. Ciara was in front of him, on the step below him. "I can see your feelings for Poppy. It's the same as my feelings for Jake. You should tell her sometime." Kane nodded. He would have to come clean soon. He went to the couch with Ciara and sat down at the far right, turning on the TV.
