Ferngaze lay on the other side on the clearing narrowing her eyes at Bingo.

Chameleonpaw sighed," His names Bingo. He's only five moons old, he has no living kin and Rosefern, that's what the warrior code says, to take kits in, he's a kittypet, though he said his twolegs died in a monster accident and are long dead along with his parents, which is a sensitive point of conversation for him, we can't kick him out he's only a kit." She repeated firmly rolling her eyes at Bingo feeling bad that he had to deal with Peachrain.

Bingo took a bite and fell asleep at Chameleonpaw's paws.

Foxkit mewed,"Hi Bingo!" Until he realized that he was asleep, he looked at Chameleonpaw,"I don't like him, he's no fun!"(XD)

Bonekit sat there, bored because Sorrelpaw wouldn't let him prank the newcomer.

Ferngaze stalked forward and nudged Peachrain," Peachrain. Bingo is fine. He's an outsider after all, and once he's six moons old we can boot him out of camp." She slightly growled quitely so Bingo wouldn't hear," Besides, Bluekit died many, many moons ago, and just because it was your fault doesn't mean you have to burden every kit you see with your behavior."

Peachrain glanced at Ferngaze," Are you ill... your not as sweet and gentle as normal! You should see Wheatfur!"

Ferngaze growled softly," I'm a warrior, Peachrain. I'm just distrustful of this outsider."

Rosefern smiled," Bingo must be tired... And Foxkit, he's tired that's all."

Chameleonpaw nodded," We should find a queen to look after him. And Ferngaze you know the warrior code there is no question of whether or not he's staying. He's staying. And at six moons he can chose whether or not he'll stay."

Peachrain gasped," I'm not a queen, but I can watch him!"

Peachrain was coming in after her patrol intending to sleep Chasing a squirrel across the territory without killing it was exausting, why did Bubblestep make us do it? The white she-cat was in her nest, quiet sniffling could be heard, her nose has turned it's tint from a solid pink to a soft red, and her eyes puffy and pink. Out of all the cats in the clan, the recent death of beloved deputy Fennelnose had struck Dawncloud. Her friend that grew up with her since they were kits. The friend who saved her from the hungry fox. The friend she cheered for the loudest during her deputy ceremony. The first week after the incident, the warrior den was loud with grief-stricken sobbing that erupted from the molly. It has finally dialed down to quiet tears that trickled down her face. Dawncloud, the molly who could be described as one who had an attitude brighter than the sun, was clouded by her anguish, her heartache. She jerks back as she hears a voice next to her. She slowly moves her head to see who the cat was and as soon as she identified the voice, she places her head back down/ "No, there isn't anything you can do." she bluntly says in a quiet tone. No matter how many tears she cries, no matter how much time she wallows in her nest, her friend is not coming back. Her mourning has taken a toll on her, she has been getting thinner due to not even having the mood to bring herself to eat.

She whispered," I understand grief, but you must eat. You're getting thin." I can fetch you prey."

Chameleonpaw was kinda amused by Foxkit," Well he hasn't had a safe place to sleep for many moons, Foxkit." She glanced at Sorrelpaw," We need to find anyone who can take care of Bingo and act as a mother."

Ferngaze scowled," I'm not. I think we should leave the kit on the Windclan border and ask for our missing kits in exchange for this kittypet."

Rosefern flashed Ferngaze a glare," I could make sure Bingo is safe, I may not have been a queen before, but- I would love to, and I think Bingo's needs are much smaller than most kits and doesn't need an adoptive father as much as Bingo needs an adoptive mother."

Peachrain pleading," I can! I can clean Bingo's fur daily as a did with Orchardsong and Bluekit! I can help Bingo learn about clan life! I can watch Bingo, just because I failed one kit doesn't mean I failed both my kits, I might finally be able to forgive myself if I raise a kittypet to be a clan cat!" She blinked desperately.

Cuckootree snorted," Bingo isn't a newborn, I could make sure Bingo has a nest and isn't bullied and knows where the fresh kill pile is and understands clan life."

Chameleonpaw paused unsure of which of the mollies and one tom she'd trust as Bingo's adoptive parent.

Ferngaze scowled," I hope I don't mentor him... I hate outsiders...he'd never make it to be a warrior, he'd be a ninty moon old apprentice one day, unless they made him a warrior out of sympathy..." ( If she mentored him she'd stop hating and scorning him eventually aka 7-9 moons old)

Owlstone the paralyzed warrior sighed sadly I wanted to mentor an apprentice and raise a kit...not going to happen she sighed and used her good forearm to haul herself closer to the group of cats.

Chameleonpaw chuckled at Foxkit.

Peachrain squealed in excitement," Ofcouse! Bingo and I will be BFF's I know I'm
not the biological mother, but I can still love on him... Bingo is such a little cutie sleeping!" She squeaked excitement lighting up her eyes.
