Birchfur was out hunting with another cat, and had left her litter in the nursery. Starkit was a little grumpy at the moment, huffing to herself about negligence and abandonment and staring outside. She had no reason to go out there; nobody was going to play with her out there, and she'd just be shooed back into the nursery as if she was some fragile little thing that couldn't be out among the warriors and apprentices. She let out an annoyed grunt, flicking her tail and pinning her ears back as she watched the cats pass by. Now, normally Starkit was a rather cheerful little kitten, a little shy and quite self-conscious about her coat; however, today she had woken up on the wrong side of the bed, and was ready to explode at anyone who decided to bother her. Letting out a quiet little huff of annoyance as her belly grumbled at her, Starkit turned away from the entrance and glared into the dark room known as the nursery. Branches and leaves had been woven together to make a rather large, spacious chamber, not to mention the dirt that had been dug out to make a shallow, cool pit. Large patches of moss served as beds to the queens and their kits, often being changed out by apprentices since some kits were too young to use the dirtplace. It was all that Starkit had ever known, and ever will know for the next few moons. A sigh escaped her maw, and she flopped down by her slumbering siblings as she waited for something interesting to happen.

Palekit was sitting in a shaded corner of the nursery, his fur plastered to his small body. He was awkward, shy. His fur was white and gray and very fluffy, his whiskers abnormally short, and his eyes were grayish-green. His tense posture conveyed fear he'd be approached, and his paws shuffled awkwardly. He scanned the nursery, his ears pinned down. Palekit swallowed the lump in his throat, biting his bottom lip and slowly getting to his paws. He slowly began to walk across the nursery to Lynxkit, who was sleeping though barely. With a tiny tap of his paw, her eyes burst open. Lynxkit leapt out of her nest and grinned. "Hi, Starkit!" She called, her eyes glowing with immidient energy. She trotted over, her tail swaying and her paws crushing the ocassional plants or scattered moss below them. Palekit slunk after her, looking nervous and cowardly as always. The skittish tom stayed a decent distance away, his tail flicking and his eyes darting to avoid contact with any other kit around him. Palekit and Lynxkit were almost opposites. Lynxkit was polite, yet hyper and a bit bossy, and Palekit was skittish and shy with no bravery in him. Palekit took a tiny step forward, but his nerves made his paws freeze in one place. This nursery was pretty much all he knew, but when he was Palepaw, he'd need to be braver. More confident. That was scary to him. Lynxkit tilted her head, sitting near Starkit with a big smile on her maw.

Twoface looked at rosefern with an eyebrow raised she heard a mouse scrambling through the moss ,she hissed her claws sharpened and pounced on it stabbing it with her claws .

Rosefern nodded," Nice catch." She meowed," I promise I'm not judging you. I mean, my sister is mostly paralyzed she can only move her neck and one forearm after all." She meowed.

The white speckled kitten looked up as Lynxkit called out to her, her gaze flicking over to Palekit for a moment. "Hey." She grunted, rolling over onto her paws and shaking the stray bits of moss out of her fur. She looked right at Palekit, and offered him a little bit of a smile, flicking her ears. Starkit hoped her smile looked comforting, rather than teasing; her friend was rather skittish, even more than she was. "How are you two doing?" She asked, flicking her tail a bit and looking back at her excitable friend. Starkit was making an effort to not be grumpy around her friends, since she didn't want to scare off the only ones she had at the moment. Her ears flicked, as her mind wandered a little bit. Bits and pieces of a conversation with the warrior... Roarclaw? Roarclaw was his name, Starkit was sure. Bits and pieces were revealing themselves to her, and she smiled a little. The tom had promised that he'd help her be a better warrior, even if she wasn't an apprentice. The kit shook her head a little, and looked back at Lynxkit and Palekit, awaiting their answer.

Rosefern realized that Twoface didn't know how long Owlstone was paralyzed," I'm not sure she ever will, she was paralyzed as an apprentice, though thanks to Gyrestar's kindness he still gave her a warrior name with me and my other sister."
