The WindClan leader allowed her tail to sway back and forth to expel the pent-up uneasiness as Sootflare stated his case. She ignored everything going on with Dawnstar, ThunderClan, and ShadowClan, it wasn't worth her attention. Unless it involved WindClan, she didn't see the point in sticking her nose in it. The she-cat paid little mind to Sootflare as he pleaded his case, she was more interested Kestrelstar's response. He really hated this cat, and he had a right too. Sootflare turned his back on RiverClan when they needed him most, and didn't even have the courtesy to at least give the clan a deputy before departing. But everyone deserved a chance at redemption or so Twilightstar believed, however, not if it costs or risks the safety of her clan.

Her tail finally stilled once Kestrelstar glanced at her and spoke his approval, or not exactly approval, more like tolerance of Sootflare staying in WindClan. She had a few mixed feelings about that, but shoved them aside and nodded her head lightly while replying, "I'm offering him a chance, if he wants to blow it by running when things get tough again, it's no fur off my or WindClan's back." Her tone was cold and jagged as she expressed her lack of faith in the tom's commitment to his new clan. It would take a while for her to actually trust Sootflare, he came to WindClan out of fear, desperation, and loneliness, unable to face RiverClan. Despite all the wrong he's done, he had served faithfully as RiverClan's deputy for quite some time. That and the trust he held once upon a time with Lionstorm was the only reason Twilightstar hadn't turned him away.

Her ears perked up as Kestrelstar dived into his announcement, her eyes flickered over to the golden tabby below who had been dealing with an outsider. Sparrowskip... hadn't he been announced before as RiverClan's medicine cat once? It was a bit confusing, trying to figure out how he became their deputy now, but so long as Kestrelstar had good help it didn't really matter how. As usually RiverClan had quite a few warriors and apprentices added to their ranks, hearing about the kit that froze outside of their camp had Twilightstar's frown deepening. So young and such a terrible way to go.

As he wrapped it up with a warning about outsiders, Twilightstar thoughts flickered to the one irritating outsider she had run into with Smokeshell. Tonight wasn't the only time they had to deal with outsiders, last time outsiders showed up during the Gathering as if they belong here. She twitched an ear in acknowledgment of the warning before taking her place at the front to start off on WindClan's announcement.

"WindClan has been fairing well enough," Although they could always be doing better. But at least with the weather warming, Twilightstar was expecting more of her clanmates would take hunting more seriously as well as train their apprentices.

"Wrenpaw has started her warrior training, and aside from Sootflare, a few old faces have returned to WindClan. Eldersky among them alongside her two kits Hickorykit and Laurelkit." She hadn't spotted Fernpaw among the apprentices that had come to the gathering tonight, she wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not.

"With Peachfrost's disappearance some moons back, StarClan has seen it fit to bless us with our next medicine cat, Cowpaw." The large white tom with black spots seemed to have already made himself comfortable among the other medicine cats. She found Snakeheart easily enough and assumed that the two unfamiliar cats among the medicine cats belong to ThunderClan, curiosity came and faded within her single eye. It darted lazily around until she found the tall gray and white tom.

Last moon, Wolffang stepped down as WindClan's deputy and returned to being a warrior, in his stead, Fallownose has stepped up and been promoted to deputy." She had noticed the tom hadn't taken his place alongside Sparrowskip, but considering all the distractions and well, Dawnstar, it was no wonder he had gotten a little sidetracked. The leader called the tom forwards with a wordless wave of her tail, silently indicating that his place was beside RiverClan's deputy. Where was ShadowClan's deputy? It hadn't occurred to Twilightstar to even thing about Shadestorm. At this point in time, she wouldn't be shocked if Dawnstar had sentenced him to death for some crazy reason.

"WindClan is not without its losses, a mishap at ShadowClan's border resulted in the death of one of our warriors, Ashfeather." Twilightstar refused to say any more on that lest Dawnstar finds some reason to provoke her. She refrained from glaring at large ShadowClan she-cat, the lilac leader had been very clear about not picking a fight over this. Acting up and insulting Dawnstar wouldn't make her feel any better, not to mention reacting at all would set a terrible example for WindClan.

"There's nothing more from WindClan." She meowed, taking a seat and wrapping her tail around her paws, waiting patiently for what she assumed was going to be big news from Dawnstar.

Despite the fact that the gray molly had a slight edge to her mood today due to the fact that she’d fallen face flat in snow (again) today, she would just have to lighten up, because someone had approached her, a ShadowClanner to be specific. She wasn’t exactly thrilled to be meeting someone of a clan that she often mentally referred to as MurderClan in her head, but not at all wishing that she wasn’t in this situation now. This was still considered an opportunity to meet people, regardless of their clan. That’s not s’methung that cats should even care about at a gathering, right? At least not their differences.

“Y’ello.” She mews in her usual tone, a flat tone that had a splash of emotion to it. Said emotion now, is nonexistent. It’s not like there was any emotion to be shown here either way, she hadn’t met this cat yet. There wasn’t even much to say, other than just the usual “Oh hi, I’m an awkward Riverclan warrior, how’s the prey running, is Dawnstar still being the murderous idiot she is??” Oh, how she wished that she could say that, but this cat seemed to be just as savage as their leader. So rather than speaking her mind, she just spoke in a calm tone in response to Ivysnake’s question. “Raccoonear.” She stated, her floppy ears rising at the slightest to hear the commotion.

While she didn’t care as much for the ongoing chaos as much as her present situation, the gray bobtail still wanted to at least give herself an idea of what was going on up there. In the midst of listening, she heard her name be called by Kestrelstar, to escort Loonkit away. Allowing her gaze to flick back from the Seastones to Ivysnake, she stated bluntly, “looks like I’ve got to go drag a kit back to camp.” She stood, bi-colored eyes sifting over the crowd to find the white and black kit. What a relief. Shimmerbird handled it instead. She traced back over to the tabby she was speaking with before in the same spot.

“False alarm, someone else has got it.” She mewed, sitting down with her paws closed together over a clump of sand. Ivysnake looked rather young, perhaps she’s a new warrior? “You look pretty young. Did you just become a warrior?” She asked, a slight tilt at her head as she pondered in a light tone.

Fallownose perked his ears as Twilightstar began to speak and sat up a bit straighter in preparation for the announcement of his deputyship. He was slightly reassured at what seemed to be a lack of faith in Sootflare when she spoke to Kestrelstar. As long as Twilightstar realized the tom would most likely run the second things got hard then he could care less about what she decided.

Nothing much interesting occurred after other than the announcement of Cowpaw taking Peachfrost's place and (obviously) the announcement about him. The gray tom stood up when Twilighstar motioned to him and gave a quick dip of his head before padding over to take a seat beside Sparrowskip. He took a moment to get comfortable before turning to the other tom with a curious look. "Do you know why ShadowClan's deputy isn't here?"

He didn't bother to ask about the whole mess with ThunderClan, it didn't seem like anyone knew at this point. At least the chaos with all the outsiders intruding had seemed to calm down, as well as Dawnstar herself. Honestly, couldn't she have taken the cats prisoners and executed them away from everyone? Did it have to be at the Gathering?

She smiled politely, she hated offending other cats. Maybe her brother was right about her being cowardly.. But where had that gotten him? Right in to the badgers den.

Heather'Tail admitted solemnly, her shoulders drooping. ||

'That's fine. How about we chat about clan things or something?' Beetleraven smiled. He flicked his tail towards some RiverClanners. 'We could talk to them if you like.'

She prompted, flicking her tail over Beetle'Ravens back. ||

|| Storm'Shell sat patiently with the other Wind'Clan cats, grooming himself. He was not one to talk to others first, yet he was quite observant.

He saw Heather'Tail talking to Beetle'Raven. They seemed nice;
Perhaps he could muster up the courage to talk to them..? ||

She nodded gratefully. They were under Star'Clans gaze, having relations with cats from other clans surely was not prohibited at this time..? If it was, wouldn't they all be punished?

~ IVYSNAKE OF SHADOWCLAN ~

Ivysnake listened to the gray she-cat as she talked. Raccoonear. The name made sense and it wasn't too complicated. The RiverClan she-cat didn't seem too bad, either. Her tone mostly lacked in emotion, and Ivysnake didn't really get the vibe that she was an idiot. That was always good. Although Ivysnake wasn't looking to make friends - not that she'd be friends with Raccoonear, anyway. She was from an enemy Clan. RiverClan at that. RiverClan and ShadowClan had had some skirmishes when Ivysnake had been a kit, but that didn't matter. Some commotion commenced and Raccoonear was called to get a kit. So maybe they wouldn't talk much together after all. Oh, nevermind, some other RiverClan warrior got it. She could continue speaking to the fish-eater.

At the question of becoming a warrior, Ivysnake nodded. "Yes, I was an apprentice not that long ago. I became a warrior alongside my Clanmate, Vixensnarl." She flicked her black-striped tail at her brown tabby Clanmate. Then she let her gaze wander to the deputy spot by the rocks. Shadestorm still wasn't there. Ivysnake rolled her amber eyes. I thought you weren't lazy, Shadestorm. She turned back to Raccoonear. "Newleaf is coming. How have the fish been swimming in your Clan?" The question wasn't asked with any particular interest. Talk of prey was boring, but there wasn't really anything else to talk about, was there?

Other cats were dealing with it for once, so there was no point in stepping in herself. Plus, the warrior she was chatting with seemed mentally stable, a wonder nowadays in her Clan, and would perhaps make for a good "friend". "Yes, they have been a bit hectic with cats continuously wanting to refuse our help and being hypocrites about it, but it's nothing we can't handle. I'll let Dawnstar explain most of it though, because as you said she'll mention it in her announcements."

Vixensnarl was about to continue when Kestrelstar started his announcement, so instead she turned her head to look up at where the leader's were sitting to listen to his announcement. The biggest point of interest in the announcement was Sootflare, though there was nothing else that caught her attention other then the fact that it appeared RiverClan was having trouble with some outsiders and received a new deputy. The tabby had noticed a slight increase of them herself on ShadowClan territory, or maybe that was merely her being the only one who actually found and chased them off because everyone else was being too lazy. Meh.

"Well, it appears that we have another leader come back from the dead. First Buckstar, and now Sootstar. Who's next, Aspenstar?" She snorted slightly in amusement at that, giving a shake of her head. "So, do you think Sootstar deciding to stay in WindClan instead of going back to RiverClan will cause tensions between the two? I, for one, think Twilightstar is foolish in taking back such a disgrace."

Pineclaw rolled his eyes as the leaders spoke and at Vixensnarl's comment. "We'll be seeing the ancients rising from the dead next," the tabby spoke with sarcasm, keeping his voice slightly hushed as to not bring attention to them as the leaders continued. "Twilightstar is a fool, but we'll see if Sootstar will run away again. They're a disgrace for even returning," he growled lowly.

Although, the conversation about Sootflare was interesting, it was short lived as the discussion dropped almost as soon as it started. The leaders' were done talking about it, but he and Vixensnarl could discuss more later if they wanted.

"Well good for WindClan for keeping it together, they make sure they don't lack in the leader and deputy department," he spoke, a small praise in his tone now. They were doing better than ThunderClan by a long shot.

"It's Dawnstar's turn," the tabby tom spoke, somewhat excited to hear about everything in ThunderClan.
