Flaming began to drift off into sleep, closing his eyes. The tom felt sleep overtake his body. It felt nice.

Echo blinked it was nearly dawn she looked how close she was to flaming. She purred and thought of how nice it was to have a cat next to her. She glanced at him. “Hey flaming” she said nuzzling his shoulder “ it’s nearly dawn” A worry crept in her stomach oh no he’s not gonna want to stay!

Flaming began to stir as Echo said his name and nuzzled his shoulder. "I'm up!", he meowed, popping up real fast. He blinked at the dawn sun, forgetting where he was. "Now I remeber.", he meowed.

She looked at him and blinked. “Flaming are you going to have to go” she said sadly “I mean it’s fine I’d you do you see soon my housefolk if I don’t find a mate they bring me one so I’d not be lonely and not have kits” she looked over at the lavender embarrassment crept in her pelt

Flaming looked at her. "You mean their going to force you to find a mate?", he asked. He knew two-legs were weird, but not that weird. He was glad he didn't live with two-legs.

“Yes so I can have kits of course” she looked sadly at him “you see they let you keep one or two of the kits but the rest they take” she looked at him her eyes clouded eith emotion. “They make you have kits in favor for giving you a home”

Flaming could see the emotion cloud in her eyes and he rested his tail on her shoulder in comfort. "I've never heard of a two-leg taking kits from their mothers. It's sounds awful.", he meowed.

Flaming was seperated from his mother when she went to starclan when he was a young kit, so he understood her. "I know it's not easy to leave a place. It was hard when I left Windclan.", he meowed. The tom didn't mind that she put her snout on his shoulder.
