Owleyes looked around camp, searching for Cloudpaw. She must still be sleeping. He thought. He began walking over to the apprentice to den to wake her. "Cloudpaw! Wake up!"
Rabbitpaw quietly slept in her nest her paws and tail twitching.

She got up almost immediately. "Im up! Im up!" She meowed loudly yet tiredly. She stood up and looked at Owleyes with tired eyes.
He opened his eyes and looked at Rainwhisker. "Hello.. And yes I think it would be a good idea to hunt. The fresh kill pile is starting to look a little low, so maybe you can go with another clan mate as well to help you." He meowed in a deep, raspy voice.

Rainwhisker nodded.
"Alright, but I can handle myself." Without another word she turned and exited the camp. Once out of camp she parted her jaws to pick up a scent of prey. She stalked around,
with her ears pricked and jaws parted. Soon, she picked up a faint scent of squirrel. She followed it for a while, then found the squirrel sitting on a tree root munching on a acorn. Rainwhisker moved to the shadows and crept up on it. Once she was less than a Tail-Length away, she leaped. Rainwhisker pinned it to the ground and dispatched it with a swift bite to the neck.

"Come with me." He walked out of the den, beckoning Cloudpaw with his tail. "Today we're guarding the west border today. While we're there I'll teach you some fighting tactics." He said as he began walking towards camp entrance.

Cloudpaw nodded "Alright." She stood there for a second before catching up with him.
