The light of morning slowly crept along the floor of the apprentice's den. It had been only a day since the clan had made their way up to the Mountain territory and everyone was still exhausted. Only a few cats were awake, one of them being Cliffstar's brother, Southpaw. The apprentice made his way around the others, trying to get to Cliffpaw. He eventually reached his brother and gave him a gentle nudge.

"Brother?" Cliffpaw yawned, stretching his legs before sitting up. "What is it?" the tom blinked until his vision was clear.

"Bluecloud has been assigned with leading the morning patrol." Southpaw responded. "She would like to take us with her."

Cliffpaw sighed. Bluecloud always took them with her on patrols. She was a nice cat but always thought he and his brother needed improvement.

The clan camp was rather quiet, as to be expected on a day like this. The only cats Cliffpaw and his brother could see that were awake were Stagwhisper and Bluecloud, who were talking, and Gingerpaw, who was sitting silently at her mentor's side. Gingerpaw smiled and waved her tail at the brothers when she saw them before padding over to them.

"What are they talking about?" Southpaw asked the younger apprentice. Gingerpaw peeked over her shoulder to see if the adult cats were looking before responding.

"They're talking about Lilypaw. She's sick again." Gingerpaw said worriedly. The apprentice had a look of concern on her face.

"Again?" Southpaw sighed. "She's always sick.."

Cliffpaw was about to say something, but he was interrupted by Bluecloud. "Alright then." the Russian blue she-cat said. "Let's go, apprentices."

It took a while for the patrol to even scent prey. The snow was several layers deep and all of the rodents were hiding under it. Eventually, Southpaw scented a young hare and everyone was on the hunt. Southpaw and his brother crept around until they found the prey. It was just sitting there, waiting to be eaten. Gingerpaw crept up next to the brothers looking excited to catch the prey, although Cliffpaw thought that he and his brother was supposed to catch it as they found it.

(A) Pounce on the hare
(B) Chase the rabbit with Southpaw

'I guess if we won't be able to decide I should catch it.' Cliffpaw thought before leaping at the hare. He was about to land on it when a flash of black flew in front of him taking the prey with it. Cliffpaw crashed into the snow.
"What was that?" the apprentice said after coming to his senses. Upon lifting his head from the snow, the first thing Cliffpaw saw was Midnightpaw holding the now dead hare in his jaws. Midnightpaw had stolen his prey!

(A)Attack Midnightpaw to get the hare back
(B)Insult Midnightpaw and go find the others
(C)Let Midnightpaw have the hare and go find the others

Cliffpaw eventually calmed himself down and decided to leave Midnightpaw be. The apprentice slunk away when the prey-stealer wasn't looking and went off to find the patrol.
After a few minutes of walking along the cliffs, Cliffpaw rounded the corner and found the patrol by the training caves. Bluecloud held two cobras, Southpaw held a crow, and Gingerpaw held a civet and a mouse. Both his brother and his friend had looks of terror on their faces. "Two cobras emerged from under a rock while Gingerpaw was chasing her mouse. I managed to kill them before they bit her. Although, she did get scratched by one of their fangs..." The warrior explained.
"It doesn't hurt, but it kinda stings." Gingerpaw said. Her hind right leg was pretty puffy and swollen. It kind of looked like the scratch had already been infected and a little bit of venom had gotten in. Gingerpaw suddenly winced in pain and Cliffpaw realized she might need medical attention.

(A)Insist the whole patrol helps Gingerpaw back to camp and to the medicine cat
(B)Offer to take Gingerpaw back to camp while Southpaw and Bluecloud continue hunting
(C)Do nothing and continue hunting
