Jaystorm looked up at the darkening sky. "It's a bit too late to go back to ca-" before she could finish, a fat raindrop splashed on her back, chilling her spine. "The den!" She gasped, tugging Thrushwing inside with her.
The space was warm and sheltered, but squished. Oddly enough, Jay didn't even mind it, really. Their fur was pressed together comfortingly. Jaystorm lied down and rested her head on her paws, the events of the day kicking her now aching limbs.

Thrushwing could've sworn there was no rain today, and his cat senses did not work well for him this time. 'Strange'

Thrushwing glanced at jaystorm for a second before looking away just as quickly. The noises of rain hitting against the greenery and and shrub made a soothing sound for him. He looked back at the feline and could see her back leg muscles tense. "Are you alright?" He asked, worriedly.

Thrushwing nooded to her response, and laid his head down. Closed his eyes for a few seconds, before opening them back up and smelling something, although because of the rain, it was hard to catch and identify. He looked over to jaystorm, and opened his mouth to speak. "Do you smell shadowclan?"

Jaystorm sniffed the air, her eyes growing wide. "It's probably just a patrol, checking the border," she meowed quietly and hesitantly. But despite Jaystorm shrugging it off, she still scooted a little further inside.

The night was cold and the moon was bright, and two small kits were lying, whining on the ShadowClan side. Both toms, one black with a white stripe down its back, and the other Yellow with black and white streaks. Their mother, Lakeripple had to leave them here, as there was no place for them to live in her rouge group.

Littlefang heard a noise and sniffed the air. She froze in place, that was a kit's cry! "I'm coming!" She called, worried. Littlefang pushed her way through a bush and gasped. She ran to the kits and checked them for injuries immediately. She was relieved to see that they were alright. "Who left you two out here?" She asked the kits.

Lightning looked up at the silver-grey and white she-cat and mewled quietly, "Lakeripple said there was no room..." the black and white kit hesitated.

"She said we couldn't stay..." Canary looked down at his paws.

"Then she put us here, gave us a lick, then left." Lightning's eyes clouded with sorrow as he laid his head down on the ground and sighed.

Littlefang was shocked, she couldn't believe that any cat would treat kits this way! She couldn't leave these kits here, but she would have to talk to her leader about this. "Come with me for now." She said softly, "I will speak to my leader and see if you are able to stay in Thunderclan." She then smiled down at the two kits with kindness, before beckoning them to follow her to her clan, where their fate awaited them.
