Just days ago, the disgruntled cats of BrokenClan overthrew the leader and killed their family, leaving an open spot for the throne.
The setup of the clan is similar to a town. Each family lives together in a small den. There are the wealthier districts of BrokenClan that have huge dens and moss over all of the ground. There isn't one medicine cat, but many like the doctors we have today. The medicine cats go to their office and the other cats hunt or train. All of the food goes to the government and is redistributed among them. The majority of the citizens are poor and have holes in their dens and no moss on the floor at all. They work harder than the wealthier, but get less than the higher families. 'Wealth' is determined by work or even money, it's by certain families who pass down the higher status.
The form of government in BrokenClan had been a monarchy, never letting the people rule or have a say. The leading family tried the best they could to quell the anger of the cats, but they weren't the best leaders. Over time the leading family had degenerated, and the cats that ruled today were clueless as to how to run a clan. A recent loss of battles between the bordering clans angered the citizens. A cat named Bloodheart was tired of the monarchy and formed a group called the Felinity Party. This group of cats rallied the citizens and charged into the leading family's den. The cats easily overpowered the family and soon there were no more leaders or servants.
Bloodheart assured the citizens that life would be better and they would all be equal. Equal hunting duties, equal training time, and they all got equal amount of food. Most of the citizens were happy, except a few that had big families and needed more food. No matter the size of the family, they all got the same amount of food under Bloodheart. Soon, Bloodheart took the throne and saw himself above the poor citizens. He forced all of the cats to give their profits to him, and he gave almost nothing back to the cats. If any of the cats rebelled, he would send out his guards to kill them and torture their family. There was no escape, guards watched all of the borders to the clan, and none could escape.
Just days ago, the cats had doomed themselves to a bloody end to BrokenClan
