Never a Friend

Soulkit meets [Friend] one day. Now, the two cats have almost nothing in common, as [Friend] is a bouncy, friendly and energetic cat. A little emotional and overdramatic, and very different from Soulkit. [Friend] is intrigued by Soulkit, and Soulkit sort of follows them around and all. Now, they have some fun, or [Friend] does anyways. They start to see Soulkit as a really close friend and look up to him kinda. But Soulkit sees [Friend] as little more than a source of entertainment. No more emotionally attached to them as he would be to a piece of fresh-kill. He doesn't know how to care about things, cats especially. [Friend] is oblivious to his emotionlessness throughout their kithood. But as the two become apprentices, [Friend] starts to develop a crush on Soulkit. So, one day, they admit their feelings to Soulkit. He doesn't know how to react, but he feels absolutely nothing for [Friend], and turns them down, telling them that he never cared for them at all. [Friend] is heartbroken by this turn of events, and tells Soulpaw exactly what they think of him now that they know the truth about him. Soulpaw feels extremely hurt, but doesn't show it, and tries to forget about [Friend] and go one with life.
