Honeythistle seemed to find her question odd, since he gave her a questioning look. He turned away from her and repeated her question while Cloudstrike simply watched him. His joke was said with a straight face, making it harder for the innocent molly to discern the joking aspect. Her feathery tail fluffed up in a semblance of embarrassment. She wasn’t really embarrassed, though, since the feline almost never felt that emotion. She was more flustered and made that clear by stuttering a few syllables and looking at her paws as she shuffled them before glancing up at Honeythistle with sparkling eyes. “I’m sure I’m not!”The queen laughed, brushing her tail on Honeythistle’s shoulder and leaning in to nose through his fur as he had done earlier. Even as Honeythistle spoke admiringly of her new nest, Cloudstrike buried her face in Honeythistle’s fur and leaned almost her entire weight on him. Honeythistle was incredibly strong, after all, he could support her weight. Honeythistle caught her attention by saying her name, making the queen stand up to look at him. Cloudstrike watched Honeythistle move around the nest, keeping her wondering eyes on his face. She blinked questioning lay at his odd question. His tone seemed nonchalant but the question was still rather weird. “My name?” She repeated, tilting her head, “Well...Maybe not as serious as some?” Cloudstrike had no idea how to answer his question or how he wanted her to answer. What did it mean to be serious about one’s name?
Honeythistle had been focused on Cloudstrike’s nest more than the feline herself. When she asked him a seemingly innocent, yet amusing question, he answered in a joking manner. However, his voice was more straightforward as he was making sure his mate’s nest was as comfortable that she would like it. His ears swiveled towards her stammering words, and slowly he brought his head upwards to stare at her, a mischeavious glint in his eyes. “You wanna test that theory?” He let out a husky purr when the molly embraced him. He was nodding, approving of the semi-finished nest. All they needed to do was add the lovely flowers to make it complete. The tom turned his head to give Cloudstrike a few gentle licks to her ear as she nosed through his fur. He allowed the snowy queen to stay there for a while relishing in their closeness upon their new union. He had nuzzled the molly before he gently called his nickname for her. She was brought out her dazed state, and Honeythistle took his time to value the work they put into this nest together. She answered his question, so he stole a glance at her to see if she understand what he meant. When he flicked his ears, he allowed himself to not address such issue. She probably took it in a literal, anyway. Honeythistle purred, “Good,” he says. He brushed his tail against the nest to remove any dust or dirt that found home on it. After he felt the nest was complete for now, he padded next to Cloudstrike, pressing his pelt against her and bent his muzzle down to nuzzle her ear. “We’re going to change it.” He whispered, deeply. “To something sweet, pure, and innocent. Would you like that?” The silver tom purred. Even if she didn’t like it, Honeythistle was still going to force her to get it changed. On the other paw, he felt that Cloudstrike was cooperative and wouldn’t question him about such.

It'll take your mind off of it. You can tell me what the nightmare was about while we're walking." Yes, the feline was worried about her friend, but she was getting the story no matter what. It was the only way she could help. So the she stood, shaking some scraps of moss off of her raggedy, sleep-tangled pelt.
Nightpaw glanced at the other apprentice, embarrassed anew by her night terrors. How many nights had she done this, she wondered. Were the other apprentices dreading the moment she entered the apprentices' den at night? She looked back at Snowpaw, "Ok," she said simply, to mortified to do anything but leave. Maybe the night air would help clear her head anyway.

Cloudstrike echoed Honeythistle’s purr as she leaned against him, both of them focusing their eyes on the nest before them. Cloudstrike was, at the moment, thinking about all the flowers she could choose from. Sunflowers, roses, peonies, etc. She purred absentmindedly as Honeythistle leaned down to lick her ear. Cloudstrike felt as if she’d never gotten this much attention from Honeythistle before. She was reveling in it. A single thought in her whirlwind mind told her that it wouldn’t last but the rest of the thoughts, those of happiness and hope that the moment would last forever, overwhelmed it. The nest was almost finished and it looked good, if she said so herself. Her thoughts were interrupted by Honeythistle’s voice and odd question. The feline couldn’t help feeling like her answer was wrong, even though the question didn’t have right or wrong answers. She only felt that way because she didn’t particularly understand it. It was an unusual question. Honeythistle seemed to like her answer though, as he purred and said that it was good. Still confused, Cloudstrike watched him brush dust off of the nest and tilted her head to spur more speech from the tom. When he returned to her, Cloudstrike presses against him with all of the vigor that he used to press against her. She purred as Honeythistle nuzzled her ear but silenced that noise when she heard his words. “Change it? Cloudstrike repeated, pulling away to look at Honeythistle, “Why?” She couldn’t stop herself from asking the question. Changing one’s name was a big deal, after all. Would you like that? Cloudstrike honestly didn’t know how she felt about it. The snowy queen wasn’t totally against it. After all, hasn’t she longed for a more musical name after hearing the names of his other mates? They were all so beautiful and elegant. She had wanted to be like them. But she had wished for that not thinking it would or could happen. “Can I do that?” She asked, staring dreamily into the distance. What would she even change it to? Cloudstrike flicked her bright blue eyes onto Honeythistle and queried, “Would it be something elegant and beautiful? Like Pearlstream?” She brought up his other mate’s name hopefully, remembering how pretty she had thought it upon hearing it for the first time. Why not change her name? She was beginning to grow excited now. Plenty of cats wished they could change their name and now she was being given the opportunity.

If someone told Honeythistle that they were going to meet a cat named Cloudstrike, he wouldn’t think they were talking about a she cat. That’s the main reason why her name bugged him. When he first began noticing her back in Riverclan territory, he was a little shock that she carried such a stallion-like name, but during that time his intentions were meant to woo her, so he pushed the meaning of her name to the back of his mind in order to win her affections. Now, that he landed the alabaster beauty, it was the perfect moment to change her name. He changed her life after all, which was a major thing, but a little name change? That was minor. She repeated what he said, and Honeythistle simply hummed in response. His eyes gave her a gentle look as she questioned him further. Not that her voice held anything accusatory, as she seemed to be baffled that he wanted to change her name. “Because, I want it changed.” That was the simple answer. It was the truth. To others, it wasn't a big deal of what her name was, but to him, it was misleading, so he didn’t like it. For Honeythistle, if he didn’t like something, then he was going to change it. One way or another. The tom felt pleased when she muttered the pretty words Can I do that? In order to encourage her, he pressed his nose to her cheek. “You’d be crazy not to do it,” he purred. She seemed more inclined to change her name because when Honeythistle looked away, that familiar dreamy expression clouded her facial. Honeythistle gave her a curt nod. “We will be changing your name.” He finally said. Making the decision himself. He picked up a paw and licked it nonchalantly as she continued to think it over. Her voice made his ears perk and the tom looked up towards the roof of the nursery, then he nodded. “Do you like the name Pearlstream?” He cooed at white molly. Truth be told, he also liked Pearlstream’s name. It was as beautiful as her. “I suppose something simlilar. Equally equivalent to stunning and gorgeous,” he growled. He took a moment to allow this to sink into the queen before he got to his paws and weaved around the she cat, pressing firmly against her while his tail draped around her back. “It’ll be as beautiful as the name I given - “ Pause. His features lit up at the Idea of her new potential name. The silver tom regained his posture, and he purred into her ear. “How about something with the name Dove?” Obviously, she was his dove. He’d given her that nickname the first (Well, second) time he saw her because he didn’t want to acknowledge her actual name unless he was angry at her. “Hmm, How about Doveheart...? Or Dovepetal? Maybe Doveflower?” He suggested, then quickly shook his head. Mothflower already had that suffix, and he didn’t really feel so close to the common suffixes of ‘Heart’ and ‘Petal’. Pondering somewhere, he suggested, “Dovegaze,” he says, more so in a joke, “Your eyes are very gorgeous, by the way. Don’t know if I ever told you that, but now you know.” He playfully nosed her ear. “Maybe, Dovepelt?” No, no - Honeythistle almost shook his pelt. “Never mind that suggestion, what about Dovevoice?” He purred. That had a ring to it. Her pelt as white as a dove and her voice as gorgeous as...he couldn’t even describe her talent. But, even that name felt unsettling to him. So, he finally grasped an idea and purred lowly, “Dovecoo...” now, there was something about that name that sounded like it was perfect for her. So, he cooed at her. “My sweet Dovecoo. I like the sound of that. It should be your new name.” His orbs light up with a new fire, and he didn’t hide his happiness when he insisted the name. It would be her new name. It was perfect.

Cloudstrike barely noticed Honeythistle's hummed response, her mind still swirling with the implications of changing her name. He answered her first question, the question of why. The answer didn't provide much insight, but Cloudstrike didn't know what else she had expected from the tom. Honeythistle wasn't one to entertain questions of his motives. Cloudstrike was intrigued by the prospect, she had never considered it before. Honeythistle pushed her with words of her being crazy not to and with his nose touching her ear. He spoke again, this time more firmly, shaking her out of her thoughts. So, it was decided. She was changing her name. Part of her was disappointed but she didn't try to argue. The molly was already getting used to her new lifestyle. The only choice she had now was which name she was going to take. "I do love Pearlstream's name. It seems so elegant!" Honeythistle agreed that the name was beautiful and the two of them began to think up new names for her. The silver tom mentioned her nickname then seemed to get an idea. Dove? Cloudstrike liked the sound of that. It could make a lovely name. She started thinking of new Dove names but Honeythistle started listing them off, and the snowy queen decided to simply listen. A calm smile found its way onto her face and she sat down. With each name, Cloudstrike scrunched up her nose and shook her head. "Aw, thank you!" She purred with a laugh at his compliment, bumping lovingly against him. "Mm, I agree. Not your best." The she-cat teased after hearing 'Dovepelt.' Finally though, the perfect name graced the air: Dovecoo. It was beautiful, sweet, elegant. It fit her white, dove soft fur and lovely singing voice. "I love it." Cloudstrike smiled and nosed Honeythistle's fur.

Honeythistle felt proud of himself for a moment. Usually, he left naming to his mates when it came to his kits as he believed he wasn’t full blown creative, but he was happy to have come up with Cloud - Dovecoo’s new name. It sounded so beautiful, and Honeythistle let out a blissful sigh. “So, we both agree, ay? Good.” Now, with a new life, a new name, itnwas like a new future for his Dove, more than himself. Nosing the back of her neck with his snout in a vigorous manner, he inhaled the dove-furred molly’s scent like it was the oxygen he needed to breath. Honeythistle didn’t note any disappointment or reluctance when it came to his mates. And, if he had, it went over his head as he believed everything he did for them was for the greater good. Beside, wasn’t love all about sacrifice? Only, Honeythistle’s greedy nature gave him more of a bargain than he needed. But, as he cuddled his new mate, pressing himself against her, he figured he wouldn’t have to worry much. She’d fit in just fine. Giving her ear a lick, Honeythistle flicked his tail and brushed against her before beginning to walk away, “So, how about those flowers..?” He called out. That’s the only thing she was missing from her nest. Then, their job would be completed. Honeythistle paused in his stroll as he started to stretch his limbs, hearing them crack to a degree at his satisfaction. When he shook out his fur, giving a regal sense, he padded along slowly, his tail swishing gently behind him. If he were quick to do this deed, maybe he could catch a nap and some relaxation time. He felt his paws aching and the calluses under his pads brought a faint pain, but like every flaw Honeythistle refused to acknowledge about himself, he brushed it aside.

The newly named Dovecoo purred as Honeythistle nosed through her fur. She didn’t feel any different, despite her new name. Somehow, it felt artificial. Like it wasn’t really her name, she was just going by it for a day or two as a joke. Perhaps that was how she should live, pretending that it wasn’t really her new name until she got used to it. The molly blinked in surprise as Honeythistle trotted away and spoke. “Oh, right! Flowers. Dove followed Honeythistle, trotting to catch up to him only to stop as he stretched. She could use a stretch her self and decided to mimic Honey’s movements until she felt a few cracks. After both cats were satisfied, they continued onwards. “Know of any flower patches? Dovecoo asked as they walked, herself almost skipping along the path. She certainly had more energy than Honeythistle.

Maybe she should just run away now and hope she never had to face Dream again. But what kept her standing there was a deep down anger towards her mother and a long for a proper parental figure. She never wanted to say that she was related Fawnpatch after she left the nursery, she loved her mother in a way that made her hate herself for it. She wanted to tell her mother but around the older molly she just wanted to act like a kit forever and get her attention. Jadepaw new she was young, she could make her own future and forget her mother, but all her plans started with getting to know who her father was.
The words made Jadepaw step back a bit, she wasn’t expecting that kind of tone or reaction. Her smile was dropped and her mouth grew a little dry, was her father not going to accept her? “W-well…” This wasn’t the kind of thing she had imagined. When she thought of this moment she imagined that Dream would recognize her, that they would bond and Dream would say that he was sorry he wasn’t around when she was younger. She should have just stuck to only training, doing only as she was told instead of going off and doing something as unpredictable as this. From the way Dream spoke of Fawnpatch, Jadepaw wondered how they had ever fallen in love in the first place, how they ever got to the point of having kits. But, either way, her suspicions were being confirmed from what she heard. Her father wasn’t around because of her mother. “Even if my mother wanted me to do this, I wouldn’t know. She barely ever spoke to me.” She gained a little more confidence knowing that they shared similar thoughts on Fawnpatch. Jadepaw hadn’t seen her mother since she became an apprentice, she wasn’t in the nursery anymore, which made the place seem warmer. She’d adamently been avoiding the molly by spending all her time training.
She took another deep breath in to collect herself before she spoke once more. “My name is Jadepaw, I left Fawnpatch and now I want to find my father.” She paused, looking the other properly in the face before she continued. “From what I’ve been told, you’re my father.”
Back when Dream had acknowledged himself at having a warrior's name, he was called Dreamcatcher. During that time, he recalled being entangled with Fawnpatch. She was one of the pretty warriors that caught his eyes, so he wanted to see where they ended up. If he would had known that he would be looking at a tiny version of what produced from him and her, he would had never allowed himself to become so...ugh, weak. Dream didn't have any time in his life fretting over a mate and kits! And, he badly did not want to hear those tormenting words that he knew would eventually come out this apprentice's maw. The marbled tom had accused Fawnpatch of putting the little one up to this, but her words caught him a little off guard. From what he remembered, Fawnpatch was pretty much always in her own world, which was no surprise, but he also figured that a queen would pay attention to her kits. ''Your mother hardly spoke to you?'' He gasped, his eyes widening. ''Talk about a drama queen, eh, kit?'' He joked. Still the same Fawnpatch he knew and tried to avoid. ''I bet she's in her little world of fabulous and happiness right now.'' He snickered with a shake of his head. Honestly, Dream saw this as a dead end. He didn't know what this molly wanted from him, or what she needed from him. In the back of his mind, he knew the truth. He knew that she was his kit. He just didn't want to accept it. Actually, he was planning an escape route before those little words... - ''Ahhh! Come on, kit! I toldya not to utter those words!'' He exasperated. He didn't want to hear that he was her father. His world could had shattered at those words, but instead he straightened his posture and narrowed his eyes at...Jaypaw...? No, no - that wasn't her name. She sounded like she said that name. Junepaw...? No, not that either. It was...it was... ''Listen, kit,'' He started - Jadepaw! Yeah, yeah - that was her name. Okay, good. He could remember that. ''Uh - I mean, Jadepaw.'' The marbled tom decided to sit next to her, throwing a paw casually over her shoulder. ''Congrats! You found...me,'' He paused, founding the thought of being a father sickening even deeper. ''But, you shouldn't want to leave your mother. She keeps your best interest in her heart, you know. She's just...she's just, '' Not even he could justify for most of Fawnpatch's actions, unless it's heartbreak that he knew he caused a while back. But, that was such a long time ago! Dream peered at Jadepaw. How old is this one...? Nevermind that for now! Fawnpatch should had been over him. He knew he was a dream and all...but, Fawnpatch should had known what she was getting into. Dream sighed inwardly. He didn't even know what he was getting into. ''She's Fawnpatch! She's your mother! You shouldn't want to find your father. Oh, no. That is a bad move.'' But, she had found him. She found you. Why did she find him? Dream had been carelessly living his life, exploring here and there, hanging with his best friend without a care in the world. Dream was pretty sure that with all the other mollies he was with, that they resulted in kits. But, those kits weren't leaving their mother and interested in finding him. So...why was this one? A little part of Dream's heart would had tugged at the mere thought that Jadepaw cared to know him. That she wanted that strong bond with him, but Dream didn't find it in his heart to grant her what she wanted. She should be focusing on her training and staying away from him. As Dream eyed her warily, he would had scoff. He did gag, however, but continued to put on his front. ''But, how about we keep that noun to a minimum, hm?'' First the fact that he didn't like to be addressed as a father. Second the fact that he didn't want to be a father. I suppose accidents happen... Dream withdrew himself from Fawnpatch's daughter. Yes, her daughter. He got to his paws, looming over her with haunting blue eyes. ''But, what do I have to do anything with your ambitions? Why try to find me?'' That's what most made Dream curious. Why did she want to find him?

"Yes, of course!" PineWish smiled then had an idea. "Hey, Runt...now you're in the clan, you need a Clan name! You could be RuntKit. Or do you want to change your name?" She asked, curious to hear what Goldenstar suggested while they were still here.

Halfgaze purred triumphantly as she heard Cardinalsnake's little yelp. She didn't acknowledge the teasing annoyance in Cardinalsnake's voice and instead smiled and teased, "Aw, you're cute when you're scared!" Some might have construed those words as flirting, but Halfgaze rarely flirted. She wasn't worried that Cardinalsnake would think she was flirting. He knew her well enough to know that that was not her intention. Cardinalsnake's greeting wasn't nearly as chipper as Halfgaze's had been, but she looked up at his eyes while she washed her paws and saw the missing happiness swirling within their depths. "No," Halfgaze said calmly without moving her eyes from her paws, her tone teasing as she added, "I was out hunting. What have you done this morning, lazy bones?" She knew that Cardinalsnake hated water, and therefore knew that her getting him wet could hardly have made the tom happy. Her theory was confirmed when he complained. Bursting into laughter, Halfgaze ignored him and continued to dry her paws. He clearly wasn't mad at her. The two were best friends after all. SHe had no idea what was going on in his head and her status didn't occur to her at all.
(Don't worry about it. I'm not very punctual either so it doesn't matter)

The russet pelted tom rolled his eyes. Of course, he loved compliments but he didn’t exactly like being complimented for the way he looked when he was scared. “Shut up,” he muttered playfully, licking his chest fur in embarrassment. There was only one cat who could really embarrass Cardinalsnake, and that was obviously Halfgaze. What kind of best friend wasn’t embarrassing? Halfgaze was just like any other best friend. Loyal and friendly, but of course there were the embarrassing moments. Although, Cardinalsnake could be rather embarrassing to if he tried hard enough. Not embarrassing himself that is, but embarrassing his peers. And depending on whom they were his attempts to embarrass others could either be flattering or humiliating.
Cardinalsnake only grunted at her response. It was his way of saying, ‘good’. The warrior strongly believed that ShadowClan cats should not be swimming. How many cats were going to lose their lives over a weak attempt at trying to swim? It just wasn’t worth it. The tom would never try to swim. Large amounts of water would soak his pelt. It would make him feel uncomfortable and he wouldn’t be able to lie in his nest for a rest whenever he wanted without the risk of dampening it. No, he was happy to leave the swimming to RiverClan.
“Hmm,” he murmured thoughtfully. He was considering whether or not he should lie. The truth was that he hadn’t actually done anything this morning, but he didn’t want to say the truth. That would make him sound like he was uncommitted and lazy. He didn’t want that. But on the other paw, he didn’t want to lie to his best friend. That was just wrong in itself. “Nothing,” he admitted reluctantly. “I was planning on hunting later though!” he added before she could get a chance to scold him for being lazy, even though she had already insulted him by calling him ‘lazy bones’. He wasn’t offended though. Cardinalsnake was a dedicated worker and he was a great warrior, but he could be very lazy. He just couldn’t say no to a bit of time in the sun. With leaf-bare approaching, he refused to let any bit of warmth slip by him. “Or you could put me on a patrol later,” he offered. He was flexible; he was willing to change his plans if that was what his deputy wanted. Either way, he wanted to be useful. Although, later. He wanted to be useful later. He had to finish basking in the heat of the sun first.
