Cloversun watched as Sagepaw circled around to her tail. She raised an eyebrow. Did he think she wouldn't notice when all her attention was on him? At the last second, she would whip her tail away then dive at him, swiping at his paws with one paw, and pushing his shoulder with the other to further unbalance him. Should the well-practiced move succeed, Sagepaw would be on the ground with her paw pinning him down.

Cloversun took a few steps away from Sagepaw, and sat on her haunches. "Of course. In the middle of one-on-one combat, you are not just going to sneak up on your opponent. They already know you're there, they have their full attention on you. Maybe in a battle, it they are fighting someone else."

"I'll teach you some moves." She swiped the air, claws unsheathed. It was probably the easiest one, but she needed to make sure Sagepaw could do it properly. "Watch my paw stance, so I don't overthrow myself." She swiped again. "You try."

Sagepaw looked at how she was swiping her paw. He tried to do the same without his paws unseathed, he kept them seathed. He did the.swipe and tumbled over and lost balance, but he immediately knew what he did wrong and tried again, this time it worked.

Sagepaw looked as she said 'Now try it like this' He watched carefully as he tried to do it slowly. Now that he had the hang of it slowly, he did it as quick as she did, he almost lost balance but successfully did it. "Like that?" He asked, eager to get it right.
