Maplestar sighed, shaking her head, "Seafire, calm down," she said levelly, "Please. This is not a punishment. You're deputy. I expected better of you, yes, but I'd appreciate it very much if you'd please show some respect," she ordered.

Smokefur nodded to Flowerheart and Mudclaw, "Where's the catmint?" she asked.

Rainingflower sat in the clearing feeling a bit overwhelmed about the news about her having kits. She had just been told she was having kits. Her eyes sparkled with excitement and nervousness.

Mudclaw padded through the forest, sniffing the air for any signs of herbs. His ears twitched as Flowerheart stood next to him, her pelt brushing his. "I think we should split up. Look for cat mint, barley and juniper. Those are the one I really need." The tom looked at Smokefur. "I really need cat mint, along with feverfew. Get as much as you can." He looked at both of the she-cats. "Meet back here when you're sure you have enough."

Flowerheart nodded at her brother and bounded into the forest, her tail high in the air. She began to search for the familiar minty smell that indicated that their was cat mint around. She soon came to a small clearing that had a small clumps of the plant and began to pick them.

Blazingflame awoke, stretching out his long, muscular legs and padded out of the Warrior's Den. He saw his littermates, Mudclaw and Flowerheart leave camp with Smokefur. 'Probably to find more herbs,' he thought. The tom padded to the small freshkill pile and chose a mouse. He then padded over to Rainingflower and set it down at her paws. With a soft purr, he sat next to her, wrapping his tail around his paws.

Foxshadow entered the camp, carrying three thrushes and a vole. Flametail padded in right after her with two large rabbits. they set the new prey on the freshkill pile. "Go see if Maplestar needs anything," Foxshadow meowed at the tom. She yawned and layed down under the shade of a
nearby oaktree.

Blazingflame stood there in shock. The tom's eyes widened and let out a soft purr. 'I'm going to be a dad,' he thought excitedly. He nuzzled Rainingflower, purring louder now.

Rainingflower purred with him. Thank goodness he isn't worrying she told herself. When she was apprentice when the Queen's would tell there mate they were having kits they would be happy at first and then start getting worried and wouldn't shut up.

The tom stood next to the Queen, his heart pounding excitedly. 'I can't believe i'm going to be a dad.' He couldn't wait to tell his siblings and Foxshadow.
