Forestpaw flinched at Jaypaw’s aggressive tone and she lowered her ears and tail slightly. She smiled slightly though as he apologized. She didn’t think he’d said that last time. “I-it’s alright!” She offered. She felt a burst of pride when he asked if she’d caught the sparrow and the russet furred Molly nodded. “Yes I did!” Forestpaw said with a smile. After a moment she paused and softly asked, “How are you?”.

"Trying to hunt. It doesn't work well." Jaypaw grumbled. Due to his blindness, he wasn't great at hunting or fighting. He couldn't see prey, or attackers. "Blindness is crazy..." He muttered to himself. "Anyway, is that a sparrow? That was a good catch. I'm sure the clan will love it." He smiled.

Forestpaw was flattered by Jaypaw’s compliment and felt a slight blush creep onto her face. She started to smile then frowned when she hear what Jaypaw said about his inability to hunt. The russet apprentice didn’t make a move or noise for a moment. Oh man! Poor Jaypaw! He can’t hunt because he can’t see! Except....wait. Suddenly an excited look brightened Forestpaw’s eyes. “You don’t need to see to hunt! You can feel, hear, and smell! ” She exclaimed grinning. After a moment though she felt doubt creep in and imagined Jaypaw wasn’t believing her so she mewed determinedly, “Look Jaypaw you can do this! And to prove it to you I’ll hunt with my eyes closed,

Surprised at the leg power Falconpaw possessed, but not at all done yet, Fleetwind turned quickly as she seemingly landed on the ground, rolling off in one of the more bizarre escape strategies he had seen. Or perhaps that was the intent, since he couldn't seem to draw his attention away enough to attack. When she got to her feet however, he was ready, having stepped forward almost unconsciously, following her. Aiming a blow for her front legs and another for her chest in an attempt to disorient her or knock her to the ground, Fleetwind jumped forward. @Larkstripe

Falconpaw was still winded from her effortful leap, and staggered beneath the blows, struggling to keep her balance, her eyes wide, heart fluttering. She stumbled backwards, and fell to her side, rolling to the left and attempting to get to her feet again. However, she was losing her focus and her balance and stumbled again, panting.

Jaypaw didn't bother to say he couldn't see her close her eyes. He sighed and sat down to watch her. Or smell her. I've never hunted with my eyes open He thought. Jaypaw quickly smelled a mouse, and sent it running towards Forestpaw. If you catch it, then I would of caught something. He smelled the mouse getting near her.

Forestpaw closed her eyes and sniffed every second or so. She didn’t want to miss anything. Oh hopefully this will work! If it doesn’t...I’m going to guess Jaypaw’s going to have a....slightly distasteful attitude for a while. Suddenly the wrong scent of mouse overwhelmed her and she could faintly hear it’s scurrying paws. Two russet paw closed in on the mouse snatching it’s tail. Suddenly the mouse wriggled away before Forestpaw could catch it. By starclan!

“W-w-ell I got the mouse’s tail but it escaped. How about this time you try catching something that I send towards you?” She mewed determined.

"Alright. You did okay though," Jaypaw smiled at her. "It was you're first time blind," He ducks under a bush, where he could pounce whatever she sent flying. "Ready when you are!" If I can, He thought. I'll do worse then she could ever. I'm blind. She still could open her eyes if she wanted. Jaypaw shoved the thought out of his mind. No I must not think that.
