{Skyclan has arrived!}

This is against everything you know, everything you believe. Why are you doing this. Do these cats really need to be driven from their home? What if the medicine cats are right? What if you're driving innocent cats out, possibly killing some in the process?
Emerald eyes stared blankly ahead, a stony look on the Skyclan leaders face as he marched the Skyclan patrol right behind the Windclan patrol.
You have an alliance to maintain. That is why you are doing this. Keep your head straight for now, you can think about it when you're back in your own territory.
Gritting his teeth, Grousestar forced the thoughts from his head. He needed to have a clear mind for this, this wasn't some border patrol, some walk in the territory. He was leading this patrol into battle to drive out this clan with his allies. This just needed to be done, whether it's what Auroraflame, or Shinefang wanted or not, that didn't matter. He was the leader, he had the final say and he was going to stick with this alliance. It could benefit Skyclan in the future. He just had to stick with it. Right?

As the Windclan patrol slowed, so too did Grousestar slow his own patrol, the tip of his tail flicking lightly. Slowly, he would edge his cats beside the other patrol, looking into the clearing but not trying to focus on the daily lives he they were about to throw into chaos. He couldn't think about that right now. After Buttercupbreeze yowled for Windclan to attack, he would simply lash his tail, a silent signal for Skyclan to follow suite, and leap into the clearing. He saw no use in signifying that Skyclan was attacking. Perhaps he was too ashamed to even make mention that his clan was attacking. But here they were. And by Starclan they were going to do what he came here to do. Drive out Riverclan.

Passionstar wasn't anticipating a battle, but with the last meeting, it was sure for one to strike. Of course, he stuck by Fallenstar's side because the Riverclan leader was there for his clan. He just wished the other leaders had sense enough to think this through. Maybe talk about it? But, Passionstar wasn't the one to always talk about things. He was always about action, anyway, and if someone needed a paw, especially someone who helped him out, then so be it. Passionstar wasn't about losing or winning. He wanted Riverclan to help establish a point.

He marched in with his clan, knowing they sided with Riverclan, but three clans versus two? Where's the fairness in this? His whiskers twitched, pulling a face as he eyed down the other clans. Passionstar didn't beat around the bush when it came to fighting. Battling always been a passion of his, and he didn't fear to already get started. His paws were already itching, his hind legs scratching at the dirt as if he were a bull ready to charge at his target. His impulseness was a hardheaded thing, but he did what he thought was right. Maybe he was being biased, but whatever it was, he knew that the other three clans were wrong. Riverclan shouldn't have to be selfishly driven out their home. He knew the stars weren't wrong - they were never wrong, but it could have been a possibility that the message had been deciphered in the wrong matter.

Blizzardpaw walked into the Riverclan clearing when his leader showed for them to attack. He was against everything, but he had to do something to show his leader he wasn't that childish kit he had been before he lost his brother. The Skyclan tom jumped into battle.

And of course ShadowClan and SkyClan decided to join in on attacking RiverClan's camp, everyone seemed agents them these days. Though she was pretty sure ThunderClan was staying out of it, Passionstar had been reluctant to pick a side on the last meeting they held between the high ranks. Pushing through a bush Buttercup glanced back to make sure her Clanmates were still all there. Some of them might not come back from this. Was a lingering thought trapped in her mind.

Nearing the camp Buttercup slowed her pace wavy her bushy tail to tell the patrol to do the same. Slowly and quietly the creamy molly kept forward before looking into camp. It was quite in the crisp air though she did a quick scan through to make sure their were no kits visibly playing out in the open. It seemed there wasn't any and she hoped she was right. The thought of killing a kit, even if it was an accident was to much to take. Taking in a breath Buttercupbreeze prepared herself, Blazingstar had asked her to lead this battle patrol and was supposed to strike. Standing she let out a yowl, "WindClan, attack!" She had no idea if that was the right words or if her voice held the right to say it but it was said and the battle had started. With that Buttercup charges into the clearing with her Clanmates preying to StarClan that their wouldn't be many casualties.

{Open}

Flintspirit had come with Thunderclan to defend Riverclan, knowing full right how wrong this battle was. He had agreed with Passionstar’s decision in not taking a side until they had to. And now here he was, delving into the throng of cats that were starting to fight. Letting out a low growl, the large dark-furred tomcat spotted the WindClan deputy. Buttercupbreeze. Did she have some part to do with this attack, did she help convince Blazingstar to do so? Flintspirit wasn’t sure, but as he was knocked forward by another cat, his paws propelled him towards the light-furred deputy. He knew that he didn’t want to fight, and maybe she didn’t either. But it was his duty to follow his leader’s decisions. And however wrong and twisted he thought this entire situation was, it was Thunderclan that he was solely going to defend.
The large tomcat approached Buttercupbreeze, a low growl in his throat as he did so. He unsheathed his claws in the slightest, though hesitating a moment. Then he was bumped into once more, causing him to stumble towards Buttercupbreeze with a surprised growl, his stature very much giving off that of an attack.

[Open-Riverclan]
Burningpaw was running out of the apprentice’s den, her eyes wide with confusion at the chaos that had erupted around her. She frantically searched for anyone she knew, anyone she could help to protect. But it was all a blur of claws, fur and teeth. She lingered in the side of the battle for a moment, but her pumping heart got the better of her. Hearing pained yield from within the battle, the young feline started to fight her way into the throng, a new sense of determination instilled in her small ginger-furred body.

[I've never actually gotten a chance to RP with Passion one on one, mind if I steal him for a bit?]

Lightningpaw followed Grousestar through RiverClan's territory, noticing that his leader was following the trial of WindClan. The smoky gray tom wasn't to keen of the idea of trying to drive RiverClan out, not just because her was half RiverClan but because he thought it was wrong. Yet he was still an apprentice and to nervous to speak his mind, even if his mentor had already discussed his warrior assignment coming up. This could be it be wasn't sure. Anxiety clawed at his stomach as they drew closer and closer to RiverClan's camp. This isn't right, why is Grousestar fighting? Wait where's Snowbranch, shouldn't she be here? She did come right? I can't go into my first battle alone! The tom fretted his heart racing in his chest. What if she died, she was like a mother to him she couldn't die! What if he died? Would it count as dying for your Clan if you were going against everything you had been thought?

As the patrol stopped Lightningpaw halted his amber eyes fixed on his leader. Studying his Clanmates he tried to call himself breathing in and out slowly. Your following orders, that's what warriors do. Fight with all your strength but don't die or kill anyone. Your not Shadowwatcher, you win kill anyone! The tom determined letting his fur rise a bit. After what felt like a moon a yowl sounded from an unfamiliar voice, though he expected it was the WindClan Deputy, and Grousestar flicked his tail to single them to follow. Mind whirling and heart racing the tom charged into the clearing not completely ready for what lies ahead.
Within moments the smoky gray persian found himself face to face with the ThunderClan leader himself. Passionstar. Breath quickening the tom unsheathed his claws, letting out a half surprised hiss. If you don't fight your dead, this is a leader your facing and he's not happy. Lightningpaw warned himself not sure what to do.

Buttercupbreeze had been scanning the clearing looking for Clanmates to help or even SkyClanners, they were her allies here. Though at the sound of a deep growl the creamy molly whisked around finding herself facing a much larger warrior. Heh, ThunderClan warriors always were larger then WindClanner. She thought bring out her claws ready to defend herself. She wasn't going to strike first, she didn't like the idea of a fight in the first place and didn't want to be here this early in the morning. As the large tom moved closer Buttercup flattered her ears and let out a deep throated hiss as if warning him to back off. Her bushy tail jerked and lashed behind her and she found herself lowering her body, ready for a spring or dash. This was the first time she'd lead and attack, She sure wouldn't forget about it easily and honestly she hoped they would fail their mission to drive RiverClan out maybe that'd show Blazingstar that StarClan did approve of this. The sky was even cloudy.
As the tom lunged forward Buttercupbreeze ducked under him and nipped his leg, before spinning to face him again her eyes narrowed, though she still attempted to keep sight of her surroundings you never knew when someone would attack.

[RiverClan, Open!]

Chestnutfall rushed out onto the clearing, heart pounding and blood roaring through his ears.WindClan’s stench had conquered the area as more and more cats spilled in with claws unsheathed. Rowanflower’s command broke through the chaos of the surprise attack, jerking the spotted warrior straight into action. This can’t be happening...my home! It all unwinded like a nightmare, and the poor RiverClan warrior watched as yet another Clan made an appearance. SkyClan, too? How dare they! His eyes sharpened and he bared teeth, hissing violently at any WindClan or SkyClan warrior that dared to come near him. “This is wrong!” Chestnutfall sprung himself into battle, prepared to protect everyone and everything that he knew and loved. The moment he was ready to fight, he recognized Passionstar paired peacefully with Fallenstar through the blur of hostile cats. He took the mental note not to attack ThunderClan, thankful to have a little help at such a drastic time. Though in the moment where he thought all was final, he began to wonder where ShadowClan was during all this. StarClan, help us...this war is not right.

[SkyClan, Open!]

Dawnfrost padded shiftily into battle, forcing her tail not to tuck between her hind legs. You can do this, Dawnfrost...do this for SkyClan. She was never the fighter type, and war made her extremely uncomfortable. The negative energy filled the clearing and darkened the sky. Oh my...looks like even StarClan disapproves. Her ears flattened in irritation, then she shook her head and cleared her thoughts. Once Grousestar lead her into the clearing, the bengal she-cat rushed her way through the haze of fighting felines. It was time for battle. Her senses were sharp and aware of her surroundings, waiting for someone else to attack her first. She didn’t believe in starting fights, so Dawnfrost merely kept alert and searched for anyone who needed assistance in battle. Luckily, her claws were naturally long, so unsheathing for a surprise attack was less of a concern for her.

Auroraflame followed closely behind Grousestar. Her heart was pounding at a million miles per hour and she couldn't keep her legs from trembling. Normally the she-cat wasn't this nervous for a battle, but this one had her both anxious and angry. This was wrong. They shouldn't be doing this. Even if their leader was an arrogant fox-heart, most of RiverClan wasn't and Auroraflame didn't want to do this. But out of duty, she had to. "Grousestar, this isn't right," she whispered quietly. She didn't care if he heard her or not, she knew that it was too late for them to stop. Here they were, standing behind the WindClan patrol, ready to drive out a clan.

Blazingstar where are you, you coward! She thought angrily as Buttercupbreeze ordered the attack of WindClan. Oh how she wanted to claw her 'ally' in the face. It was his fault. If he hadn't brought SkyClan into this, it would've at least been a fair fight. And most importantly, SkyClan wouldn't be weakened Grousestar would still be the good leader he had been and at least SkyClan could've tried to do something to save the other clans. But there was no hope, they were in the battle and there was no stopping this war. It's okay, it'll all be better soon. Just fight this battle and then you and the other deputies can solve this, she told herself. Each pawstep grew heavier and heavier as she entered the clearing. The sound of screeching warriors, panicked cats, wailing kits, it broke her heart to think that perhaps she could've tried harder to persuade the leaders otherwise.

She moved to the side of the clearing. Some might see it as a cowardly move, but to her it was a brave risk. Her clanmates might view her as disloyal and weak, but she didn't want to fight. She had made that clear. Auroraflame hung around the edges, avoiding the battle but always prepared to jump in if she saw a clanmate in trouble. She would only fight if someone needed help, or if someone else attacked her first.

Owlflame felt sick with guilt as she padded into the clearing, her expression harsh and cold; she needed to do this for her clan, what other choice did she have? She couldn't risk being known as some traitor, as a weakling who was not even willing to defend her clan. Her large silvery form appeared intimidating, but beneath the layers of thick off-white fur was a guilt-ridden, fearful she-cat. There was no point to all this fighting and the Maine coon was convinced nothing could be gained from it - there would only be loss. Her marigold eyes remained dull and empty, as she searched the hectic Riverclan clearing, looking for someone to target. It felt wrong, to search for a cat to fight, but she was acting on order's from her leader and she had to respect Grousestar's intuition. She made eye contact with what appeared to be a young Riverclan she-cat, likely an older apprentice. The sandy she-cat looked enraged, a venomous tint lying in her ocean gaze. She looked as though she wanted to fight Owlflame, despite the clear difference in size between them. But the sandy she-cat was ushered away by an older she-cat, the two of them disappearing in amongst the sea of pelt colors. Owlflame stood there cluelessly, lacking any certainty in herself or her clan. What they were doing was unjust and unfair; to punish an entire clan for the actions of their leaders? Where was the sense in that? Still, she remained standing there, her fur raised and her claws unsheathed as though she wanted a fight. But Owlflame questioned whether her fight was with Riverclan, or with Skyclan?

Flintspirit hadn’t meant for his attack to come off so forward. He had just wanted to try and convince her to get Blazingstar to stop this meaningless battle. For the good of his clan. For the good of all the clans. But he was in the midst of a battle. That would never work. As he felt her teeth nip his leg, he let out a growl. Her teeth had made with through the thin fur that sat on his legs. Which was probably the best place to attack him, and Flintspirit knew that. He whirled around, an anger now spilling into his mind. Technically, she attacked me first.. He thought, which only made his anger deepen. Flintspirit tried to keep it under control, but he would show the creamy feline. He whipped around, lashing out with an unsheathed paw as he did so. His aim was sturdy and strong, going straight for the Windclan deputy’s shoulder.

A white and black feline was staring around the clearing in horror, though her eyes soon narrowed with disgust at Skyclan and Windclan. ”This battle is mousebrained!” She growled, now scanning around the clearing for any cat to help. Or to attack. She would show these cats that they were messing with Riverclan. And Riverclan was going to keep what was theirs. Their land and their dignity. Her eyes travelled to the edge of the clearing, where she saw Auroraflame sitting, simply watching the battle. The thin-furred Riverclanner growled. What a coward! Just sitting on the edge of a battle like that... Settingsun picked up her pace, bounding over to the dark-furred deputy. She let out a low growl as she raised a paw to strike, hopefully to give her a feeling of what her clan was going through. What Skyclan brought upon them. “You shouldn’t have sided with Windclan. Everyone knows they are heartless rabbit-chasers.” She growled, then brought her paw down to strike, her movements quick and fluid from her extra moons of apprentice training. She’d spent moons outside of the clans, and now was her time to redeem herself. It was her first battle as a warrior, but she was well experienced due to her outside of the clans life.

A small silver swirled feline dashed out of the warriors den her fur that had been ruffled with sleep now stood on end. The smell of WindClan and SkyClan stuck up the whole clearing. They were attacking this early in the morning! ThunderClan had arrived shortly after wards to help but this silver felon hated the idea of fighting alongside ThunderClan. How dare they attack our Camp! This is RiverClan's land! Dolphinsplash thought a low growl rumbling in her chest. She'd show any cat who dared to attack her home. They'd pay with their own blood! Eyes blazing the apprentice sized warrior charged in to battle behind the deputy. She admired Rowanflower, though didn't want her job at all. Tail lashing behind her the small warrior raced her blazing eyes over the battle These fox-hearted cowards are going to see what it is to attack RiverClan. They'll get their pelts ripped off! We won't stand for this! Fallenstar won't stand for this! The silver swirled molly declared claws scrapping the sandy floor. Finally spotting a cat that wasn't attacking any cat at the moment Dolphinsplash raced at the SkyClan warrior and jumping at her back. "Foxeart! What kind of warrior attacks another's camp!" She spat attempting to dig her claws into the much larger warrior's shoulders. With her small size she looked like an apprentice and with her rash actions there was no wonder why she was only thought to be about 8-9 moons. "Trying to kill our kits?! Our Elders?!" She added voice filled with hate and furry.

Honestly Buttercupbreeze hadn't wanted to fight at all not did she want her Clanmates to but she couldn't disobey a detract order from Blazingstar. Anyway what was she suppose to do when a larger cat jumps at you an a battle? It was self defense. Though the taste of the toms blood was horrible and she spat it out, even if tang was still there. Almost at once the larger feline whipped around his eyes blazing. She'd underestimated his speed but he looked as if he hadn't expected her to defend herself. As he striked her with a well aimed paw she couldn't fully miss it and his claws just struck her though her thick pelt. Stumbling with the force she let out a growl, though it wasn't as anger filled as the toms. What's his problem? His mood changes faster then the breeze. Buttercup thought balancing herself and waiting for him to strike again. She looked hurt and vulnerable but she still has plenty of strength in her, sadly to be used to achieve a goal she dis approved of. Look tired or vulnerable, that'll make who ever your fight underestimate you and if your smaller then that cat it's perfect. The words she'd told Shadepaw rang in her ear. Maybe being a mentor was an equal learning as it was being an apprentice.
