"I'd like to see that, can we try it now?" He is stifling his own giggles now, "The moron doesn't even know how to do his job!" He says this last part a little to loud and the cook hollers at him. Boy, you better not be talkin' bout' me over there! I feed you and give you a roof over your ungrateful little head! Hawthorn leans over to Spooky and whispers, "He calls this food? More like poison!"

“I agree, tastes like ass,” she mumbled with another chuckle. She looked back over to cook and waved her book in the air just to piss him off.

Hawthorn laughs, flicking a piece of slop at the cook.

The cook's face is turning a deep shade of red now, he storms over. Give me the book you little twerp, you've lost your privileges to read your filthy junk. The cook sneered at her, holding his hand out.

Hawthorn puts his hand on spooky's shoulder and whispers in her ear, "How high do you think he'll jump as a frog?"
(Is it okay if the cook snatches the book out of her hand or would that be power-playing? Idk the exact definition for power-playing, sorry!)

(Power playing, from what I understand, is doing something and not letting the other person react or get to do anything)

Spooky went back to reading, eyeing Hawthorn every couple seconds. It was a friendly look though.
