"I think he ran after I escaped" Dogflame told Rainquail, voice quiet. I'm useless. I should of reported it before coming to the medicine den.
"I...I'm s-sorry Lionstar" the warrior told the tom, not meeting their eyes. He was too scared and too busy hating himself. His head lifted slightly as he heard Foxblaze's name. "She was there but she didn't see him" he told Fawnsqueak.

"Yeah, probably," Fawnsqueak agreed, unwilling to check again after attempting to stir the elder into consciousness had been an abject failure. It was weird touching a dead body. "It's just-- ever since that Echobreeze thing..." he trailed off, shooting Lionstar a side-eyed glance. "Did I ever tell you about that?" Maybe he hadn't. It was..

It was disturbing. How that'd gone down.

"Echobreeze came in here, uh.. internally bleeding. It was bad. And she pretty much died, but.. then she, like, her corpse-- it.. came back? Coyotesnarl killed it for good." A shudder passed through him.

"Eh, Echobreeze.. probably was just having the, y'know--" Lionstar gestured vaguely with his paw. "Death breaths, the final squeaks. I wouldn't concern yourself too much with it.. everyone knows only leaders come back to life immediately."

Lionstar reached to grab Puffpelt by the scruff. "Come on, help me get rid of this before it starts stinking up the place."

shadowpelt walk in and said "I was told to come here by lionstar, he said to give me the flyfur herb?!? he also said it would make me feel better." she then started to feel nauseated. @Dipper

Yyyyyeah, okay. Fawnsqueak wasn't sure -- not of the treatment, but if he should hand it over to Shadowpelt. "Lionstar said to get that?" he asked to be certain, then swallowed. "Alright ..I guess hang on." He presumed Shadowpelt would realize they were supposed to stay here until Fawnsqueak could return and treat them.

Thankfully, it appeared Shadowpelt had stuck around. Fawnsqueak was glad he wouldn't have to go around chasing a fully-grown warrior through the camp just to feed an herb to them, one they requested to begin with. Or, maybe Lionstar requested on their behalf. He wasn't sure how that'd gone down, but it didn't make a difference.

"Chew and eat this," he instructed, pushing the herb toward Shadowpelt. "Should help you out."

"Rest up," Fawnsqueak suggested and flicked his puff-tail toward an open nest that Shadowpelt could stay in until she was feeling more equipped to resume warrior duties. "And we'll talk more.. later, or whenever you wake up."

The final squeaks. "Is that what you call it?" he asked, nose wrinkling. "Sort of worried about the inspiration for my name now." Taking Lionstar's advice, he wasn't going to stress himself with it and imagined it was a one-off weirdness that wouldn't repeat itself statistically speaking.

Fawnsqueak nodded, dutiful. "Yeah, I don't.. really want to keep corpses around as decoration." The statement was pointed, a direct jab at Lionstar's collection of morbid oddities that he thought appropriate to store in his den.

Bending down to grab Puffpelt and start the journey into the territory, this felt.. much too similar to that rogue and Frostflight. Carrying bodies with Lionstar was not something he'd ever grow accustomed to.
