Stan wasn't bothered by his brother's contributions in the slightest, finding enjoyment in his remark on how Kratos' scars were meaningless. He hoped it stung Kratos, knowing the two brothers didn't believe a lick of his dog fighting stories and how adept of a fighter he was. The half-ling could boast all he wanted - he talked big, but his actions didn't back him up. Stan was sure if push came to shove, he could take him down. With Ford's help, of course -- obviously, a lack of combat experience at all wouldn't do him much favor.

"Please," he huffed. "Someone had to put that furball in his place. He thinks he's all that because of his "dog fighting days" and how "caring" he is, but if he cared at all he wouldn't try to pester Bullet and challenge his leadership." Allies? "Ha! I don't need to make allies with those fools. I have you, don't I? That's all I need."

Not thinking much more on the allies, he continued. "As long as Bullet's in charge, we have nothing to worry about. It'd be foolish if our pack-mates attempted to divide us more." The dark German Shepard had already displayed his survival savvy, and that was good enough for the Malamute.

As the duo grew farther from the pack, Stan's ears perked up as he observed their surroundings. Much of the city was in ruins, crumbled concrete and mossy stone decorating the streets. In a way, it was almost amazing how life continued in the ruins of human civilization. So far though, everything seemed quiet, and with the lack of rainfall water remained scarce. Even the potholes that littered the ground seemed dried up, drained of the foul, life-giving liquid.

"Arrogant? It's not my fault I'm better than them." Ford should know as well as anyone that he was superior to the others. "I know they're a bit slow when it comes to learning that, but they'll realize it soon enough." When they were scammed out of their precious food.
