the sire arose from the terrain, observing the new area surrounding him. the dull surroundings was a shadowy forest with lots of tall, dank, gray trees. it was a rather dull, vast empty space, like as if stars had lost their ability to brighten and make everything beautiful.

this place really is The Place of No Stars. the rumours were true.

the air was cold, thick, foggy and damp and it had an eerie echoing silence to it. there was a pale sickly light and a chilly wind blowing through the sire's pelage, and as the tom looked above, he realized the Dark Forest also had a black and starless sky.

the trees loomed over the awe-struck bachelor, the dull colored bark surrounding shattered paw from every direction. they stretched towards what shattered paw thought was above him so much, it was almost impossible to see the very dark starless sky.

the ground was mud-feeling, the dirt easily sticking onto the apprentice. not to mention the sickly mist everywhere among the bare terrain, making the tom's metacarpals feel wet.


the squire shuddered, shaking every vast thought that had creeped into his disturbed head. he oddly felt... comforted by the small whispers that echoed around him.

you belong here, shattered paw...

auditories swerving towards that particular hushed tone, the majascular tabby smiled.

he really felt at home here.

Beetle followed the young cat that had entered his territory, blending in with the shadows. he padded ahead of the cat and emerged. "You. what are you doing on my territory, little live cat? don't you belong in the land of the living?"

heartbeat slowing, the tom whipped his head around to see the alabaster monsieur. it took some time, but finally someone found him on dark forest territory.

"i want revenge from those who betrayed me. i want everyone above me to fall under my power, i want everyone to suffer," the bachelor meowed plainly, green luminaries fixated on the other, much larger, vessel. "but most of all, i want everyone to remember the apprentice that destroyed the clans."

cauda twitching, the monsieur sat, awaiting his reply.
