It's 5 per Clan, so you could still have up to 20 active Clan cats at a time and an unlimited amount of outsiders!

You can also swap cats out depending on who you feel like rping, like I've mentioned in previous posts-- the only penalty is your inactive characters would go 'missing' until you decide to swap them again.
