"A kit? What's it doing there?" Eaglepaw wondered aloud."No challenges, please?" he asked Runningpaw. He paused and replied to her question."You have it. I'm never really hungry" he explained. He looked back at the two leaders to see what was happening.

Runningpaw was quite eager to keep this up. Her attitude seemed to be getting under Cedarfoot's pelt, which was the most satisfying thing she'd experienced all day. But, duty called, and she didn't want to be some appalling apprentice who was stuck in the youngster's den for the rest of her days. Cause that would not be a wise move.
At her mentor's order, she sprang from the tallgrass, the long stalks brushing past her pelt as she cornered the tawny-grey bird. The quail's little crest bobbed frantically as it tried to run, wings flapping in panic. Runningpaw tried to drive it towards her mentor, hissing at the feathery thing. The thrill of the chase hyped her up, rushing through her veins. There was no way that they'd lose this bird.

Runningpaw frowned, glancing at Eaglepaw. The tom sure was curious about things, wasn't he? She flicker of amusement passed through her eyes, the spark noticeable on her usually stern features. He may have been curious, but he didn't have the spark to find out. Oh, that would change. And fast.
"Well, I don't know, but they do." She remarked, a smile growing on her face as she watched the leaders talk. At his feeble complaint, she rolled her eyes. He'd have to get used to at least a little bit of fun if he wanted to learn to be, ahem- awesome. She shrugged it off, leaning back.
"If you say so. But...it's still in the table if you're ever interested~" She mewed, voice trailing off in a perky tone. She liked messing with heads. It was amusing to see cats try and figure out what to do. And still her stomach grumbled. At the meaty smell of the rabbit, she simply couldn't help herself. "Thanks." She exclaimed, pulling the prey closer before she devoured it.

"Are you suggesting I go up and ask what's happening?" Eaglepaw asked Runningpaw."No I'm not interested" he told her. He watched her dig in to the rabbit."Your welcome" he replied.

Wolfwhisper stopped dead in her tracks. Where did that come from? The border? But why? They weren’t a patrol. They were supposed to be heading back to camp. Her blank gaze stared Whispertail down. Maybe her guess was right. If so, he wasn’t doing a good job at hiding it. If anything, he was doing terrible. If she asked him why and he ended up getting nervous then she could clarify that her guess was right. “Why?”

Her tail flicked, she looked towards the direction of Riverclan. That sounded more like a question then a statement and it wasn’t their job to go searching for it. “If you smelled Riverclan in our territory then we should go report it.“ She noted how he smelled the air and not the ground. “Or are you sure it wasn’t just brought over by the wind?”

A rippling pain shot through Coldamber in the dead of night. She let out a pained groan and, panicked, quickly stood and hobbled out of the nursery, looking back to make sure the other queens or even their kits wouldn't follow before hobbling to the camp entrance and out into the territory.
She found a protective outcropping of rocks just outside of camp she decided was suitable enough for her. She put together a makeshift nest and then sat, waiting for the contractions to begin.

Skunkblaze heard a cat in pain. She rushed out and found Coldamber.

Cedarfoot launched herself from the grasses, running alongside Runningpaw as the bird fled. She darted out to the side of the quail and waited for Runningpaw to drive it towards her. Stupid bird. Oh, she definitely missed hunting. This rush was one battle couldn't match, one that lit every one of her veins in electricity. Cedarfoot bared her teeth in anticipation and leaped at the quail, jaws neatly finding its neck while her claws scrabbled for purchase. She nearly shivered as the adrenaline coursed through her veins, an instinctual laugh of joy muffled by the fowl's tawny feathers and panicked scream.
