Nightlight however didn't know about the nod, since he can't see, but he knew the warrior is not there anymore as Stonegaze's scent grew weaker. He continued to sniff around the den to make sure the clan was well stocked and prepared.

Stonegaze arrived at the training area, Dragonpaw at his heels. He was in a good mood today, so he gave his apprentice the choice. "Hunting or fighting?" He asked with a smirk, relatively sure he knew the answer.

Dragonpaw went I to the stance his mentor had as he put all his weight on his front paws and kicked with his back legs.

"Good job!" Stonefur mewed proudly. "Now that you know an attack, let's try some defense. I'll swipe my paw at you, and you're going to duck then roll into your back. Get back into all fours quick, though. Don't get caught like that!" He let his apprentice prepare, then swiped his paw.

The apprentice ducked and rolled onto his back like his mentor had told him to and then jumped on him and pinned himd down playfully
