Asterpaw grinned and stepped back. "A challenge," he said. "I'd expect nothing less from a mentor." Sure, his battle skills were a little rusty, but he'd kept his hunting up to speed. If this Boulderclaw wanted perfection, then he could easily provide.

Reedpaw almost jumped straight up at the calling out of both his new name and mentor. He couldn't wait to go find Houndleap, but it appeared Houndleap had found him first. Reaching up to touch noses eagerly, there was a glint of joy in the calico's green eyes. "I'm really excited to do our training! I can't wait to show my mum all the cool things you teach me!" He could go on and on, he was just ecstatic to finally be growing up.

Sunpaw screwed up his face into something vaguely pitying.

"Oh no, you poor little thing! How about we sit down and cry together, watching the sunset and having a little pity party all our own, as if there weren't MORE PRODUCTIVE things to do. Unless you'd rather exchange THREATS? Or would you like to fight your own clanmate and refuse to heal them instead? Would THAT be more exciting to you?"

The tom's face was back to a blatant snarl, and his voice got eerily quiet.

"I had no idea that Windclan tolerated that kind of behavior. Back in Thunderclan, cats were punished for brawling. And yes, I know this isn't Thunderclan, but I have a hard time believing a cat like Twilightstar would stand for this."

He'd calmed down a bit, and due to his own words he realized he should get back to what he was initially going to request.

"I came to ask for guidance. You are a medicine cat, after all, so I figured you might be able to tell the the rules around here and whatnot, or at the very least point me in the right direction."

But he knew that, help from this cat was now highly improbable, after the words they'd exchanged.

Why couldn't I just control my temper? Now I've angered a cat with power in the clan!

That's a lot of new cats, Shockpaw thought. They were glad the clan was getting back on its feet despite past issues.

Perhaps now was a better time to lose it. Twilightstar wasn't here.. And sunpaw wasn't going to be able to do much talking in the next few days. Taking a moment the tom took a step back pulling his paw away from his chest. He'd done too much for this stupid clan to deserve this treatment. Starclan so help me.

The tabby sprang without caring to listen to the rest of his stupid blubbering. This thunderclanner was going to figure out a thing or two about smack talk. Coyotesnarl let out an enraged yowl "SHUT YOUR FACE MOUSE DUNG!" the toms claws reached for the nearest point on the apprentices body.

Sure Twilightstar could scold him.. maybe even Brindlejaw or Oddear.. but he didn't care. Not right now he didn't. Arms pin wheeling at a crazy speed he took a step back waiting to see if his attack had hit his mark- though he only lingered but a moment before diving from the toms back again hopinh to grapple himself onto the back of the demon cat.

Hawkstride looked at Cherrypaw with a slightly disappointed gaze. "Cherrypaw, you shoulder go out into the territory let alone a boarder alone! It's dangerous and you don't have much training. Either way..." She was talking to both of them now. "... you should always have a warrior with you when ever you go out into the territory. Am I clear?" She wanted the two to answer her question before she went on talking about the lesson for today.

Cherrypaw's ears perked and she dipped her head, "O-of course hawkstride, it won't happen again." She lifted her head and shuffled her paws a bit nervously, hopefully im telling the truth.I wander if we'll get some battle training in sense im joining them, probably make it easier to teach... cherrypaw had a spaced out look as thoughts crossed her mind, she almost forgot there were other cats around.
