Mina

Mina blinked, her emerald eyes gazing at the children in the orphanage. She groaned inwardly, out of boredom. There’s never anything to do around here. Sister Krohn doesn’t even let us play in the woods. she pushed the trolley of mugs full of piping hot chocolate. She was on drink duty, as she was one of the oldest. Even the name sounds dumb she thought, wheeling the big metal trolley, scratching against the dining hall’s wooden floorboards. “Hot chocolate!” she called, short curly black hair bouncing up and down as she jumped up, counting how many children were eating. She then laid each cup on each table before sitting down, rubbing her sore wrists from picking all the cups up.

Ciara smiled at her friends. "As you might already know, but for those who either didn't hear or don't believe, I am the so-called 'Assassin' of this place. And I've been outside before. Almost all the time. So I know this town much better than any of you. But, I also know of a forest just an hour's run from here. So... who wants to get out of here?" She lowered her voice, smiling.

Ash runs to the table all her friends where at and sat down with her plate of food. "Hey guys! What'd I miss?" She asked picking at the food on her plate. Ash looks down at her food, "What is this slop?" She muttered, lifting her head up to look at her friends, waiting for a reply.

Poison smiled at Ash as she sat down with all their other friends. "I have no idea what kind of garbage we are served here." They said, picking at their own food, forcing it down their throat.

Mina popped a forkful of whatever they were having, munching up thoughtfully. “I can taste a bit of..cumin in there..yuck..” she wrinkled her nose. “Seriously, I guess their hygiene level has a one star on yelp.” she muttered and continued to pick at her plate. She had been hard at work, scrubbing the floorboards and stripping the sheets of the children’s beds. Yet she was not hungry today.

"They probably find it in dumpsters!" Ash exclaimed looking at the food in disgust. Her stomach growled, though she wasn't really hungry. Ash picked up a small amount of the food and put it in her mouth. She swallowed it and pushed her plate away, "Anyone want this?"
