"No!" Lightning shouted suddenly as he leaped up, and then his muzzle twisted in despair as he realized he'd yeled and he looked down. "Um, I mean, please don't."

Silent jumped a bit in suprise. “O-oh I-I will..do you want some fresh kill..?” He asked a bit startled.

"Ack... urgh, sorry." He offered a small apologetic smile. "I'm just not used to being alone, is all. And, um, no thank you. I ate before Thunder and Jinx woke up."

Silent nodded. “I understand. Trust me, after being alone for ten moons, I would rather never be alone again.” He smiled before digging up a squirrel he buried and took a bite from it.

Silent nodded. “Hopefully. I just hope I don’t mess up..again..” His fur grew hot with what Lightning said. ‘Is that true? Is this my new family?’ He thought.

"Just remember what I said," he replied. "It'll help, I promise." At the same time, he thought, Was that the wrong thing to say? I can't control where he goes... but I'm sure that Thunder'll have Jinx pretty soon. They'll move away, start a family... and I'll be alone. I need someone. I can't stay alone.
