Character of the Month (April 2019)

Character of the Month is designed to feature characters who deserve recognition.

Please ensure you have read this thread thoroughly, as posts that do not coincide with the provided information will be deleted.

In an attempt to prevent users from only voting selectively, the system in which OTMs are decided has changed. You may suggest a character, however, the character you nominate can not be suggested by another user. For example, if you suggest "Blackstrike", no one else can nominate that character for the remainder of the month's nomination period.

At the end of the month, users can vote on the nominated characters and the winner will be determined by who has the most.

Nominations will run from April 1st to April 24th. On April 25th, users can vote on the nomination they like the best.
Please note this is a test run, and we may revert to the 'nominations only' method if it's apparent users are brigade voting (e.g. voting for a character that has a lot of votes for only that reason.)

Things to keep in mind before nominating a character:

• Characters should have been roleplayed within the last two weeks of being nominated.
  
  
• You may not nominate your own characters, or advertise your characters to gain nominations.
  
  
• Characters used to violate a roleplay rule cannot win an OTM for the month they broke the guideline.
  
  
• Nominations must include an explanation of why the character deserves recognition. Posts that do not provide a reasoning will be removed.
  
  
• Be thorough in your evaluation of the relationship. Vague or thoughtless statements (e.g. "they're cool") will result in your nomination being discarded.
  
  
• You may only nominate once, however you may change your nomination at any time provided nominations are still open. Keep in mind you can not change your suggestion to a character that was nominated by someone else.
  
  
• You are only allotted one vote due to the poll system, so please use it wisely.
  
  
• Previous COTMs can not be nominated. Former winners are:

Reason for nominating this character: Cherrybubble is just such a unique character! I always look forward to rping with this bold, sassy warrior, and Red does an amazing job at bringing her out to her fullest! Cherry's sassy "I do what I want" nature is evident but also hidden when you first meet her, making her very mysterious at first glance.

Reason for nominating this character: Glaze is just so sweet, I have the pleasure of rping with him quite often and Delta always makes is so fun. He is a bit nervous about everything and I find it so cute and funny. He’s so sweet yet so strong, and I love him.

Reason for Nomination: It takes a lot of courage to step up, having no mentor, and try to learn many new things when lives could depend upon it! This young cat decided to step up, and do his best to heal the warriors of WindClan, and make a connection with StarClan. Beepaw shows us all that if we have enough courage and dedication, we can succeed, no matter the odds!

I've been getting snippets of Fawnkit's story from my time roleplaying and can I just say this kit is the most well developed kit i've ever read? Kits are particularly hard to develop as they are still getting into life and learning everything but Fawnkit is just so well written by Cave that it is impressive. Fawnkit has the exact amount of goofiness and ambition that is to give the kit a personality that is original but also her interactions with Brilliance's Passionstar make you realize that this kit believes in herself as well as believes in everything she do and that she will be best. But everything isn't good, she does have loads of stubbornness - hence making her interactions with Passion strengthen her character.
