Sorrelpaw led the way out of camp, briefly glancing back to check that her emntor was still in tow. She wasn't sure why Reedpelt wasn't taking the lead here but that was fine. She knew the vague direction of Lionsrange thanks to a territory tour early on in her apprenticeship and set off that way. She didn't intend to make it all the way there - it was simply too far of a walk Hopefully this new mentor of hers would actually be able to take charge when it came to actually teaching her to hunt. Her measly fishing skills probably wouldn't help much with land prey.

Fennelheart inspected the crouch, it was pretty good,” Don’t pin your ears back, pick them so you can listen for prey.” she meowed giving a nod of approval.

Blizzardpaw came over to Thistlestep with a mouse and squirrel. He glanced over at his mentor. Hopefully that was a decent about of prey for an apprentice to catch. Maybe even enough to become a warrior finally.

Two mice tracked down and killed later, he was in the process of burying them when Blizzardpaw approached.

At least that was better than his poor attempts earlier. Thistlestep quirked his brow at his apprentice. "Have you come to the light?" he questioned, scrapping the dirt from his kills and grabbing them, before heading over to collect his bird.

"I think this is enough for today. Let's go back to camp."

He had an idea of how to hunt on land now. He wouldn't be amazing at it, but he had an idea - and that was all that really mattered.
