Poor Nimblewhisker, she thought. She hadn't realized how fragile Tawnykit's death had left him until now. She lowered her gaze to hide the guilt in her eyes. "You're the best brother ever, Nimblewhisker," she sighed, her legs wobbling slightly.

"Now let's get you to the medicine den so Surgestorm can treat you." He then mewed taking a few gradual steps toward the medicine den softly smiling at her 'best brother' compliment, "And what about Harrierclaw hmm? What makes it so I'm better brother material than him?" Nimblewhisker jested, using a joke to try and lighten his-- the mood.

Usually? The word made him feel that she doubted the very words she was saying, even if only slightly. It wasn't a total possibility she was completely okay after her leg popped; maybe this would be a time that it wouldn't be okay and she would still be hurting. His baby blue eyes focused on her cautiously, trying to seem calm but failing as the worry took over. Her movements were slow, unsteady even, but she was moving around, which was a good thing. When she said that she could go with him, he was about to object, to tell her it would probably be best if she rested here. But he stopped himself. He had no right to suggest what she should, and shouldn't do. She knew her body, and her limits, more than he did and knew whether or not it would be a good idea to walk with him the short distance to the prey pile. So he held his tongue and simply nodded, beginning to pad, at a rather slow pace, towards the mound of food.
Duskflight noticed that she was close enough to where their fur brushed, his fur more sleek than it was soft, brushing with her soft fur. But he didn't really make a deal of it, figuring that she was simply standing closer so that he could support her if she suddenly needed it. His head turned slightly in her direction as she quickly stepped away though, a mild look of confusion crossing his face before he brushed that off too. "My favorite prey?" he echoed the question, thinking for a moment, the tip of his tail flicking back and forth before he settled on his answer, pausing as he heard her own guess as to what he liked. A small, but bright smile parted his lips as he flicked his ears. "Hare's are okay, but certainly not what I prefer. I know we don't typically get a lot of pheasants around here, but those are my favorite. What about yours?"

The molly's ears twitched in his direction as he spoke and as he spoke, her shoulders sagged a bit, she was more relaxed with Duskflight now than she was a little bit ago. Windcrest nodded. "Well my favorite food is...hard to come by too. There are these little..." she awkwardly took her front paw and picked it up to show how small the birds were even though it really didn't show how small they were. "...brown birds called S-sparrows. I like them a lot. I don't quite understand w-why I like them so much. But to me they taste...sweet." She shrugged. "Maybe because they eat seeds." As they made there was to the fresh-kill pile, Windcrest grabbed one of the older pieces of prey. Windcrest never felt worthy enough to grab fresh prey and always left it for her clan mates. Clamping her teeth around the cold piece of prey, she looked over at Duskflight waiting for him to grab his next.

Leapkit rolled her eyes and scoffed. "Stop being so jealous, you'll make me regret I said it." In truth, she couldn't explain why she'd said that--it wasn't that she didn't think it was true, but she didn't know why it had been the first thing she'd thought to say to him to calm him down. Whatever. Her achy stomach was making her philosophical. Speaking of.... She winced again. "I hope Surgestorm can treat this," she muttered, her voice unnaturally tight.

She just laid there. He nosed her. "H-hey, get up. " He meowed, his eyebrows furrowing. It was a act, yes. She was just pretending, she had to be. I mean, what.. if she fainted from stress? Stormglare nosed her again, lifting his head. He needed to get Surgestorm and, preferably fast.

Gorsebird trembled lightly letting out soft cries whenever Stormglare nosed her. Very much out of it as she rolled off her side and onto her back and that being the most comfortable place in her current condition.

Gorsebird let out a little groan after sensing the tom was leaving the nursery sincerely hoping that it was for the medicine cat and her mate wasn't just running away from his problems or some along those lines. She briefly pondered whether or not she was going to die. Perhaps. Well at least on the bright side death would mean she would never be scared of dying again! Right? Well, maybe that was a dungy thing to be pleased about but...
