"Good morning, Cutekit!" Mews the vermillion molly, an ebullient simper upon her muzzle. She proffers a mere flick of the tail towards the kitten, a slow blink in amiable greeting. "Did you sleep well?"

Her ears of marmalade flicker timidly, certainly more fascinated by her companion than she had been by that alluring butterfly. She blinks once more with a single, fleeting glance over the familiar tom. Another grin twinges upon her svelte muzzle, a medley of both amusement as well as perplexity amid her broadened gaze. With her own honey pigmented pelt encrusted by dirt, a lithe waft of humility encompasses her upon observing the tom's endeavor at tidiness. Only for a moment, of course, as she perks up once more in the company of her friend. A whispy mew escapes her grinning whiskers. "Were you just to the groomers?"
|
Oscar let out a small chuckle, shaking his head at Marisha, "The groomers? Why, over my dead body. I absolutely despise the place," He exclaimed, disgust mixed in amongst his otherwise gleeful expression. He hated all trips with his twolegs; whether it be to the vets or to the groomers, he despised them both equally. Too much stress for the striped tabby tom, his lazy attitude certainly not any help at making the trips any easier. The tom watches Marisha with curious eyes as a young kit interrupts, though no impolitely, their conversation, pale gaze shifting to look over at the young kitten. Marisha had mentioned she was caring for a kit, but Oscar had never personally met the young one - the much bulkier tom slightly taken aback by the kit's small size. He remained seated, quietly observing the scene play out without getting in the way. He was not a huge fan of kits, anyways. Not to say he didn't like them, more so he didn't like all the work and energy they required.

"Oh," Marisha purrs, a grin upon her lips. "Well, you look lovely!" With a fleeting glance towards the young kit, the druidic molly emits a willowy chortle in response. "Cutekit, come say hello!" She beckons, hazel orbs affable and flitting. Resting upon her haunches, Marisha turns back towards her friend with a lithe beaming expression upon her ginger features, a tad apologetic for the interruption. "Oscar, this is the kitten I've been caring for. I don't believe you two have met, formally, have you? This is Cutekit, in any case; Cutekit, this is my wonderful friend, Oscar," divulges the molly, an ebullient simper causing her slender whiskers to twinge and twitch.

Oscar purred, looking down at the kit with soft yellow eyes - he had hoped his larger build wouldn't intimidate the small she-kit. "Hello there, Cutekit," He greeted, looking between Marisha and the kit as if to check what he was doing was okay. He remained seated, not wanting to rise to his feet and add to his already much taller build; he couldn't imagine how he looked to the small she-kit. "Where abouts is she from?" He inquired quietly to Marisha, avoiding the little she-kit hearing in case her past wasn't something delightful. He hated to be so upfront with his curiosity, a byproduct of the many moons he'd felt comfortable with talking to Marisha about almost anything. He gave the ginger she-cat a look as if to say she didn't have to tell him about it, had Marisha dubbed it undesirable to. The larger tom flexed his claws in and out of the soft soil below, the motion helping to relieve his body of any nervous tension it had. Semi-bushy tail flicked up and down against the damp ground, to no particular rhythm or beat.

"I wasn't there when we found her," the molly admits, her ears flicking back. "From what I could gather, my housefolk found her on the street and took her in. Although, there may have been some miscommunication in the tale, I suppose. Nonetheless, she's like a little sister to me; a daughter, even. We're lucky to have one another, huh?" With an inquiring beam and saccharine chortle towards the young one, Marisha trills amid elation at the muddled event's recollection. With another smooth titter, the she-cat clocks her head in way of her dear friend; "Gee, Oscar. I don't know if I've ever seen you be this gentle," she teases.

Re: Marisha's Garden [Everyone Is Welcome!]
The cat with no name was wandering once more to look for something. That something he did not know all he new was that it involves those clan cats and his own kind scum as the clan cats hinted to belive. He was walking on a fence post when it hit him. Make them pay for what they do. They drive us out of their so called territories and prevent them from hunting like they wanted. They had no reason it was just tradition to them. He was lost in thought as he passed by what looked like a family of cats. Cats of his own kind. Cats the may see the cause. "Hello down there!"

Oscar felt his pelt heat up at Marisha's words, his lemon gaze tilting to the side as he shifted his weight awkwardly, "Well how else am I supposed to be?" He inquired, confusion lathering his tone - though gentleness was not in his nature, it was the most common response to being around a kit he would imagine. Was there some other way for him to act? He'd hoped not, glancing back down at Cutekit with lemon eyes, alight with intrigue. Such mystery surrounded the young she-kit, and it was quite inquisitive how many possibilities for her past there were. Not that it was any of Oscar's business, but nosiness was an attribute of his character he simply he couldn't give up. He watched the young she-kit play curiously with that of a butterfly, intrigued by her nonsensical chasing. Just as he was about to speak up once more, an unfamiliar voice suddenly startled him and his lemon gaze moved rapidly toward the fence post. Upon it stood a cat he had no recollection of, strange given how tight-knitted the community of kittypets here was. He knew everyone, or at least all the cats who dwelled on the same street as his and Marisha. "Hello, stranger?" He inquired more than greeted, standing almost protectively in front of Marisha and Cutekit, his lemon gaze unfazed by the sudden visitor. "And you are?"
