Bright, baby-blue skies and sunny days. That was essentially the perfect fit for the current day that today was. Standing within the cooler depths of the medicine den, Springpaw had been eying the herb storage for quite a while; lips pursed with thought as her lapis blue eyes narrowed at the sight of how little herbs the storage carried of ones that she knew. Well, that wasn’t going to be something that she was going to be dealing with for any moment longer. With the upcoming battle trekking it’s way closer and closer to each passing day, they all needed to prepare themselves for a war that’ll be coming up at any given moment in time and they won’t even know it. Sure, there were herb patrols being sent out and coming back with what was needed, but that wasn’t enough. There needed to be something that could help prepare the clan for the upcoming battle against ShadowClan that would make sure. There needs to be something big and clan-wide that’ll make sure their herb storage gets adequate with boundless bundles of herbs that’ll help keep the clan together from becoming sick and weak from any possible fatigue in the coming future.

The thing was, what should she do? Should she send out just more patrols than usual? No, Drizzlecloud already had a few patrols sent out. Should she have someone go along with her to collect some herbs? No, that’ll be too little. What about… she had a large group of cats come along with her to collect a large number of herbs to help flourish the herb storage? Yes! Of course! Perfect! It was the perfect thing that the clan needed at the very moment, and it’ll be a great task for everyone to have a chance to know about a good abundance of herbs and have a chance to know each other during the little trek. Of course, it was just a genuinely good idea to send an event such as this out as soon as possible. It will help out with extending the current items within the herb storage, and making sure that it stays that way with this event. It was absolutely perfect!

Trekking out of the medicine den, Springpaw winced against the bright rays of sunlight hitting against her face, the calico quickly squinting against the bright light as she surveyed the clearing, silently taking note of every cat that was currently sitting or talking or doing absolutely nothing. It was rather hazardous, really. That most of the cats in her clan weren’t doing much of anything and here she was, about to start a whole event that could help the clan get up and start working themselves out. So, she gathered herself beneath the base of the Stormcrest, her eyes opening more adjacent to the cooler shade as she looked more clearly around the clearing. Well, here goes nothing. With a heavy intake of breath and a quick reliever to ease her on-growing nerves, the medicine cat apprentice called out to the clearing with the loudest volume of her voice that she could muster.

“Everyone who is around the age of an apprentice or older to trek out of the safety of ThunderClan camp please gather around me! I am going to be taking us all for a walk through the territory and we are going to collect some herbs for the herb storage and for the upcoming war between ShadowClan and our clan. And, if we are lucky, we might even play a fun little game while we are out and about!”

Jaggedface, who had been sitting in her nest wondering when she’d train Brokenpaw again and what she’d teach her. She seemed to be down in the dumps as of late and Jaggedface was quite uncomfortable with it; feelings were not her specialty. She instinctively answered the call, heaving herself out of her nest. She walked over to where Springpaw was and sat down, listening to what the medicine apprentice had to say. The scarred warrior nodded in approval, this seemed like a clever idea to make cats feel useful while also collecting herbs. With this mindset, she flicked her tail to acknowledge the apprentice’s cute little speech. “I’ll do it.” replied the scarred chocolate-point, now up on four paws and having took three paces forwards

Fudge wasn't bored. It was impossible for the chocolate point to be bored. No no no, he was just... giving his mind a break. It was hard on him, you know? Carrying his vast intellect with no one to share it with. Because... it would be... pointless to try to share such wisdoms and knowledge with these clan cats. They just wouldn't be able to understand him properly, is all.

And thus there he was. Doing his best impression of a starfish upon the ThunderClan camp ground. Eyes staring vacantly at nowhere. There wasn't even anything interesting to look at, for crying out loud! Maybe he should just take a walk outside of camp. Practice his amazing hunting skills. Yeah, that sounded like a good time. If he could be bothered to get up.

Dark, chocolate ears perked up when he heard a voice calling out, his emerald hues glaring pointedly in the direction of the calico who had hosted that... talking thing. That one thing in which he'd realized he could sleep with his eyes open. Yeah, that. And now she wanted... what? To talk more? No. To go out and gather herbs and junk. Blegh.

Still... he had been wanting to go out. This would be safer. To take a walk amongst the rest of them. If a predator showed up he could throw one of the weaker apprentices at them while he made his exit. It was a flawless plan, really. Worthy of his genius. Had nothing to do with him being scared senseless of leaving the safety of the camp's walls on his own. Nonsense. He would deny it with his last breath.

Getting up with the air of one who really couldn't be bothered, he sauntered over to the long furred molly, a bored look on his youthful features. Sitting down close to the gathering cats, he kept his distance. He saw a few familiar faces - whose names he'd promptly forgotten - among the felines already there. Perhaps this wouldn't be a complete drag. As long as he wasn't expected to carry any bitter herbs for anyone. He had a delicate sense of taste, thank you very much.
