Cotton shrugged. "I've been living in an alley in the Twolegplace. It's an okay place, but there aren't any mice. So sometimes I come here to hunt for mice. They're my favorite." Stream... He considered, A pretty name for a pretty, kind cat.

@~Echo~ @Moon Kit (I was waiting for you two to have an interaction before Jewel woke up!

(I may change her name to Hope btw but for now, we can just use Jewel)
The sun shone on Jewel's eyes, she pulled her head back and started blinking. She yawned and stretched.
Then, another cat's scent caught her nose, and she knew it wasn't Stream, however, she still smelled Stream close by.
Her fur stood on end, and with her right paw pulled up by her chest, turned around.
She saw the stranger cat and narrowed her eyes, her ears pulled back.
She considered trusting the tom because Stream seemed to be calm next to him, but she wasn't completely convinced, and she didn't want to let her guard down for a second.

Cotton approached the kit. "Hello," he said gently, "My name's Cotton. Would you like me to catch you some food?"

Jewel narrowed her eyes.
"I-I don't need your help!" she mewed.
She relaxed a bit.
"Plus, how do I know I can trust you?"

Cotton considered this. "You don't. How can I change that? What could I do to help you trust me?" he asked.

Stream watched as the she woke up. The kit obviously didnt trust the cat. Stream considered herself more... friendly. For some reason she trusted most cats, even if they just met.

The small kitten looked down, losing most of her alertness and hostility.
She didn't know her past much, but there was one memory that she could recall.
How could she forget? The bruise on her shoulder and bump on her head were a constant reminder.

Cotton felt encouraged that she was becoming less hostile. "I'll always care about kits that are alone in the woods. I can't imagine what it would be like to not," he said warmly. And what kind of cat would leave a kit in the woods anyway? He thought. I would never do that. I bet Stream wouldn't either... I've only just met her, but I can already tell.

She relaxed.
"I'm Jewel." (Again, might change to Hope)." mewed the kit.
She listened to the tom, and for some reason, it was hard for her to believe that a cat could be so nice. I suppose she thought that she was unlikable because her only memory was left in pain.
