Culprit Needed!

So, me and @Nostalgia have a quick plot set up for our chaotic ShadowClan apprentices Rookpaw and Finchpaw. The two have recently become frenemies, often sassing and threatening each other but all in good spirit. Rookpaw has a very active mind and often needs something to do, some goal to drive her forward. So she has picked feather collecting. Anyway, onto the plot:

The Culprit has stolen Rookpaw's feather collection. She keeps them in a hole up a tree in Icy Heartlands. Rookpaw and a slightly reluctant Finchpaw are now on the hunt for the crime-doer. After a good dose of evidence, they discover who it is and make them pay (:< or not, depending on if they're actually guilty lol.

The Culprit: Most likely an apprentice. Needs to be able to climb a tree a little bit, not too high. They could either spy on Rook or find them by themselves. In the second case they could either assume it's abandoned and theirs for the taking or have actual malicious intent. If they did prepare for vengeance.

Personality: Multiple personality disorder. Torrentclaw is dark forest aligned, and loves Dawnstar, and the other cat has the personality of Jayfeather without the powers.
Reason for taking feathers/ method of discovering feathers: I was thinking they would find out the collection, take them as torrentclaw, when Finchpaw and the other one confronts them, my cat would be the other cat and have no idea what is going on. Notice that if I am chosen we will have to wait a month for me to get back online from being at sleep away camp.
